Apple accidentally leaks low-cost iPad and upcoming products

(Dan Tri) - Apple made a rather rare mistake when it revealed information about a series of upcoming products in the company's software programming code.

Apple accidentally leaked a series of upcoming hardware products by inserting this information into the company's software programming code. This detail was discovered by technology site MacRumors .

The most notable product revealed through Apple's software code is a low-cost iPad tablet, using the A18 chip, similar to the chip currently used on the iPhone 16.

Previously, Bloomberg technology reporter Mark Gurman also mentioned that Apple will launch a low-cost iPad, using old-generation chips, and will launch in the spring of 2026.

Apple's software code also shows that the company is developing an iPad mini equipped with the most powerful A19 Pro chip, which is expected to be equipped on the iPhone 17 series launched next September.

Another notable product that has been leaked is the Vision Pro smart glasses, which will use the brand new M5 chip. Although the M5 chip has not been announced by Apple yet, the next generation of Vision Pro smart glasses is expected to launch later this year.

Leaked information also shows that Apple is also developing a second-generation Studio Display high-end desktop monitor. The first-generation Studio Display was announced by Apple in 2022 and has not been updated since then.

Market analyst Ross Young also predicted that Apple would launch a new generation of Studio Display screens later this year or early next year. Leaked information just published by MacRumors has strengthened this information.

Notably, the software code also leaked information about a product that was thought to have been abandoned by Apple, an upgraded version of the HomePod mini smart speaker.

After its launch in 2020, Apple has not released any upgraded versions of the HomePod mini and it is likely that the new version of the product will be equipped with the S11 chip, the chip expected to be used on the upcoming Apple Watch 11 series.

Finally, MacRumors said Apple will upgrade the processor for the Apple TV 4K. Currently, this smart TV viewing device uses the A15 Bionic chip, but the new version will be upgraded to the A17 Pro chip, similar to the chip used on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Many previous leaks also said that Apple is developing a low-cost MacBook, using the A18 Pro chip, instead of using a dedicated computer chip. However, MacRumors said that the leaked code did not mention this low-cost laptop.
