After a long wait, Aston Martin has officially launched the DB12 sports car. The British car company said this is the "world's first super GT".

The Aston Martin DB12 is launched to coincide with the Gaydon-based brand's 110th anniversary, as well as the 75th anniversary of the iconic DB.

Compared to the DB11, the Aston Martin DB12 has a large 6-bar grille design. This design is quite similar to the V12 Vantage or V12 Speedster models.

Aston Martin calls this the world's first "super GT" model. Comfort is reflected in the size when the wheelbase is increased by 6 mm at the front axle and 22 mm at the rear axle.

The car is proudly adorned with the latest Aston Martin logo design. Customers can choose from hundreds of different paint colors provided by the Q by Aston Martin team.

The highlight of the front end design is the completely new LED cluster, made up of LED lighting bars similar to the Aston Martin Vulcan racing supercar.

The exterior can be personalised with a choice of 21-inch alloy wheel designs in Gloss Silver, Satin Platinum, Satin Black, Satin Black Diamond or Satin Bronze.

The brake discs are made of cast iron, measuring 400 mm at the front axle and 360 mm at the rear. Customers can choose high-performance brake discs made of carbon-ceramic (CCB).

The frameless rearview mirrors are also a notable new design. In addition, customers can also upgrade the exterior package with carbon fiber cladding in many locations.

The side window is directly connected to the rear windshield via the stylized C-pillar, a subtle change on this grand touring model.

Meanwhile, the rear of the DB12 is not much different from the DB11. The car still uses taillights with thin LED strips, adding large Aston Martin letters.

The interior of the Aston Martin DB12 has been dramatically improved in both design and new technology, replacing the old system shared with Mercedes-Benz.

Drivers can customize operating and comfort features through the 10.25-inch central touch screen, supporting Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, OTA wireless software upgrades, voice control...

An 11-speaker, 390-watt audio system comes standard. Owners can upgrade to a 15-speaker, 1,170-watt Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system.

For a sportier experience, customers can upgrade to Sports Plus or Carbon Fibre Performance seats, alongside premium interior materials such as wood, aluminum alloy and carbon fiber.

Under the hood of the Aston Martin DB12 is a 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 engine, producing 680 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The car has 3 driving modes: GT, Sport and Sport+.

This engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.

In addition, this grand tourer model is also equipped with 4 electronic balance modes: Wet, On, Track and Off, allowing the driver to choose the appropriate mode according to the purpose of use.

The Aston Martin DB12 has just made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The first units will be delivered in the third quarter of 2023. Detailed pricing will be announced at the same time.
