Vietnamese passion fruit has been exported to Australia for the first time and Australian plums have been present in the Vietnamese market.
Registered FDI capital from Australia has exceeded 3 billion USD. The Prime Minister highly appreciated Australia's increase in ODA for Vietnam to 96.6 million AUD.
The Prime Minister emphasized that there is still a lot of room for cooperation, the two sides continue to effectively implement the action program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, periodically organize dialogue and consultation mechanisms. Strive to soon achieve the target of 20 billion USD, especially opening up and facilitating goods of both sides.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong said this is an important time for the two countries to look back on history and shape future cooperation. The Australian Government highly values Vietnam's role in the region as well as the relationship between the two countries.
The two countries share many common views and visions on bilateral, regional and international issues, which is the foundation for increased cooperation and mutual support.

Co-chairing the 7th Vietnam - Australia Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son and Minister Penny Wong discussed the implementation of Vietnam - Australia relations as well as regional and international issues.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed Australia's acceleration of the implementation of the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040 in Vietnam and suggested that the two sides promote and create breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation cooperation.
Minister Penny Wong expressed her hope that Vietnam will continue to facilitate Australian businesses to invest in Vietnam, especially in the high-tech sector, and proposed further expanding cooperation in the fields of climate change, green growth, energy transition, digital transformation and innovation.
Australia will continue to support Vietnam in research and development of new technology, green technology, infrastructure development for energy transition and digital infrastructure, capacity building, and human resource development through ODA projects and investment.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Australia's commitment and increase in ODA budget, most recently the 50 million AUD package for practical initiatives and projects implemented in many fields in the Mekong Sub-region.
