Since early September, Hang Ma Street has been brightly decorated to welcome visitors, take photos and shop. The closer to Mid-Autumn Festival, the more crowded it is, especially on weekends. This year, there are models of crescent moons, white rabbits, and giant carps, attracting young people to take photos.

At Kim Ngan Communal House on Hang Bac Street, the exhibition and discussion on the theme “Our Moon” recreates the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere in the Northern region. In the exhibition, visitors can admire lion heads, papier-mâché masks, lanterns, paper doctors, dough animals, traditional Mid-Autumn Festival trays, etc. The exhibition lasts until October 6.

The Mid-Autumn Festival activities are held at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hang Ma - Hang Luoc - Hang Ruoi streets, Phung Hung mural street, Dong Xuan market. The 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival program at Thang Long Imperial Citadel has themes including the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival and the Ly Dynasty Royal Mid-Autumn Festival.

The ancient lantern models have been restored by Thanh Oai village artisans using photo materials from the Quai Branly Museum (France) and the French School of the Far East.

In the section of the Royal Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ly Dynasty, for the first time, there is an interpretation of the Royal Mid-Autumn Festival of the 11th-12th century with a system of panels introducing history and a system of paintings recreating the activities taking place during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The exhibition space displays artifacts recreating boat racing scenes and water puppet performances by soldiers and people.

In addition, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center also has a colorful check-in space including a flower lantern gate, a tray wall, a cluster of goldfish playing with the moon in a lotus pond, and a lamp road.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with a series of lion dance performances and Mid-Autumn Festival toy making experiences (spinning lanterns, butterfly lanterns, star lanterns, rabbit lanterns, painting papier-mâché masks, paper kites, etc.) on October 4 and 5.
