Nearly 66,000 tourists came to have fun and swim in the sea in the localities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau on the first day of the holiday.

Total tourism revenue for the day is estimated at 51.22 billion VND, of which accommodation revenue is about 19.875 billion VND.

To attract tourists to visit Vung Tau city, Long Dien, Con Dao, Dat Do, Xuyen Moc... as well as local accommodation and resorts, many entertainment events have been organized.

Many major events are organized such as: The Maris Beach Festival 2024; Cycling for the environment; Visiting Hang Duong Cemetery, Hang Keo Cemetery and Con Dao Temple; Kite Festival and Water Music Performance; Fantasea Show Music Night...

Localities also arranged police and militia forces to maintain security and order at tourist attractions and historical sites. Some localities regularly broadcast information on loudspeakers at public beaches to warn tourists about security and order, theft, crime, etc. During this year's holiday, the number of solicitations for customers has decreased. Tourists are directed to park their vehicles in accordance with regulations, and there is no encroachment on sidewalks, roadsides, and beaches to gather for business and trade.

Up to now, the Department of Tourism Inspectorate has inspected 40 accommodation establishments and issued 7 decisions to handle administrative violations with a total fine of 22 million VND.

"Because the holiday lasts 5 days, the number of visitors to the province is not high on the first day. The number of visitors is likely to increase in the following days. It is expected that this year the number of visitors to the locality will be higher than last year because the weather is hot and sunny, suitable for swimming and having fun at the beach," said Mr. Trinh Hang.
