On July 31st, Mr. Tran Van Ut, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province, along with leaders of Hoa Binh district, visited, encouraged, and provided initial financial support to the family of Mr. Nguyen Me Ko (36 years old, residing in Vinh Thinh commune, Hoa Binh district) whose twin sons died from drowning.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province provided 10 million VND, the Hoa Binh District Party Committee and People's Committee provided 10 million VND; and the Vinh Thinh Commune People's Committee provided 2 million VND.
During his visit to offer condolences and encouragement, Mr. Ly Cong Bac, Secretary of the Hoa Binh District Party Committee, also requested that the local authorities regularly pay attention to and support the family in overcoming their grief and stabilizing their lives.
Earlier, at around 2:20 PM on July 30th, the mother of two 2-year-old twins, NHTh. and NHT., went to her father-in-law's house to feed them. However, when she arrived, the children were nowhere to be found. The family quickly split up to search and discovered the two children had drowned in the shrimp pond behind the house.
