The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has issued a document halting the plan to repair and renovate the headquarters of the Bac Ninh Provincial College of Culture, Arts and Tourism .

Official letter sent to the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Construction, Finance; and Bac Ninh College of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received a document from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting approval for renovation and repair projects using provincial operational funds; and implementing the directive of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in the Notice from the working session with the Party Committee of the Department of Health regarding the research and early development of a plan to merge three schools: Bac Ninh College of Education, Bac Ninh College of Health, and Bac Ninh College of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has the following opinion: The project to repair and renovate the headquarters of the Bac Ninh College of Culture, Arts and Tourism, with the Bac Ninh College of Culture, Arts and Tourism as the investor, should be halted.

The Department of Construction, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Department of Finance are tasked, according to their assigned functions and duties, with guiding the investor in implementing the next steps as stipulated.

Previously, on March 1, 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also issued a plan on the rearrangement and reorganization of public non-business units for the period 2024 - 2025.

Specifically, it states that, for the vocational education sector, the current models will remain unchanged: Bac Ninh Medical College under the Provincial People's Committee, Bac Ninh Teacher Training College under the Department of Education and Training, and the Vocational College of Culture, Arts and Tourism under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The orientation after 2025 is to reorganize vocational training schools towards building a multi-disciplinary university model based on the merger of Bac Ninh College of Health, Bac Ninh College of Education, Bac Ninh College of Industry, and the College of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

The restructuring aims to streamline, improve the quality, and enhance the operational efficiency of public service units.
