Doctor Quyen has donated blood voluntarily 17 times.

Dr. Quyen recalled that when he was a student, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized a voluntary blood donation drive and encouraged lecturers and students to participate. The young student at the time boldly signed up. “Back then, the movement was just starting, and many people still misunderstood blood donation. If I wasn't a role model and actively involved, the movement would struggle to develop, so I decided to participate,” Dr. Quyen recounted.

To date, Dr. Quyen has donated blood voluntarily 17 times. In 2022, he was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Trieu The Hung, for his outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation during the 2020-2022 period. In addition to regular blood donations, he has also participated in emergency blood donations for patients in need and actively encouraged his family members to donate blood voluntarily.

Imbued with and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Propaganda is about explaining something to the people so they understand, remember, follow, and act upon it. If that goal is not achieved, the propaganda is a failure," Quyen always proactively advises the unit's leaders and proposes methods of propaganda that are close to and easy to understand for the people. He focuses on advising on the development and issuance of detailed activity plans and implementing many projects such as prenatal and newborn screening; reducing gender imbalance at birth; pre-marital counseling and health check-up models, etc.

Locally, Dr. Quyen enthusiastically participated in local emulation movements such as building rural concrete roads, concrete roads within agricultural fields, and contributing to various social welfare funds. Dr. Quyen's family donated over 30 square meters of land for the construction of a rural road in Dong Cam commune.

With his dedication, enthusiasm, and sense of responsibility, Dr. Quyen has been repeatedly commended by the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Health, and Kim Thanh District for his outstanding achievements in performing his duties. For five consecutive years, from 2019 to 2023, he consistently completed his tasks with excellence.
