Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL), a member unit of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group ( Petrovietnam ), has completed the technical infrastructure, supply sources, and personnel to officially sell E10 RON95 bioethanol gasoline throughout its system from May 15th.
According to PVOIL Deputy General Director Le Trung Hung, the company has completed upgrading its blending and storage systems at 13 key depots nationwide, including improving storage tanks, blending equipment, and updating technology to meet the technical standards and legal requirements of E10 gasoline.
According to Mr. Le Trung Hung, PVOIL applies a method of direct blending in the pipeline during the pumping and transfer process and blending in storage tanks to ensure consistent quality before sale, thereby guaranteeing stable E10 bioethanol quality in accordance with regulations.
With its current capacity, PVOIL not only ensures supply to its traditional distribution system and customers but is also ready to supply other partners even before the legal and technical infrastructure conditions are fully completed.
To implement nationwide distribution, PVOIL proactively works with domestic ethanol production plants while also importing to ensure a stable supply. To date, inventory levels and imported supplies are sufficient to support production and blending until the end of May and into the beginning of June.
The company has also established cooperation with Dung Quat Refinery ( Quang Ngai ) and Nghi Son Petrochemical Refinery (Thanh Hoa) to ensure the supply of petroleum products, while diversifying import sources and proactively working with commercial banks to arrange funding, especially foreign currency.
In addition, PVOIL is promoting the blending of petroleum products from domestic condensate sources and focusing on training technical staff to operate the E10 production system efficiently.
Previously, starting from August 1, 2025, PVOIL piloted the sale of E10 gasoline in Hanoi and Hai Phong, then expanded to the Central and Southern regions. By April 2026, the company had 558 gas stations selling E10 gasoline.
According to PVOIL's assessment, the product meets technical standards well, operates stably, and has received positive feedback from customers. During the implementation period from August 2025 to the present, there have been almost no complaints related to the quality of this type of gasoline.
