Cambodia won 5 gold medals

On the competition day of May 4, the Cambodian delegation began to "reap gold". As of 8:00 p.m., the host country had won a total of 5 gold medals and 4 silver medals, temporarily leading the overall rankings.

Cambodia has first gold medal

Two jujitsu fighters from the host country, Kongmona Mithora and Touch Pikada, won the first gold medal for their country in the men's DUO (performance) category. Meanwhile, Thailand won a silver medal and the Philippines also won its first bronze medal.

Vietnam Sports Delegation Wins 2 More Bronze Medals in Jiu-Jitsu

Dang Thi Huyen won by knockout against her Singaporean opponent to bring home the first bronze medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 32nd SEA Games. The weight class that Dang Thi Huyen competed in was the women's 52kg Ne-Waza GI.

The second bronze medal went to Dinh Khai and Ke Duong in the Jiu-Jitsu performance category. In the final round, the pair of fighters from the Vietnamese Jiu-Jitsu team had an excellent victory over the Philippines, thereby bringing home the second bronze medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation.

Vietnam has its first gold medal in conch shell chess

Currently, the Vietnamese sports delegation has won the first gold medal of the 32nd SEA Games, belonging to the duo Pham Thanh Phuong Thao and Ton Nu Hong An in the conch shell chess, the women's standard chess doubles 60 minutes event. However, this medal has not been awarded yet because the duo still has one more match with a weaker opponent, Laos, on May 6.

On May 4, Vietnam could have the next gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games from Jiu-Jitsu with athletes Ma Dinh Khai, Trinh Ke Duong and Dang Thi Huyen. Sailing will also continue to compete in the ILCA4, ILCA6, ILCA7 and 29er categories.

Jiu-Jitsu is expected to bring the next gold medal to Vietnam.

On May 4, the Vietnamese sports delegation continued to compete in different events. In the men's singles of the conch shell chess event, Vo Thanh Ninh and Bao Khoa both participated. In the women's singles event, Doan Thi Hong Nhung and Vu Thi Dieu are also ready to compete in the third and fourth rounds.

Phan Trong Binh and Nguyen Quang Trung in the men's standard team chess event will face Cambodia in rounds 1 and 2. The competition times are still 8:00 and 14:00.
