The 6th Press Award on Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians - 2023 continues to attract the participation and response of many press agencies with a rich and diverse number of entries. The Organizing Committee received 292 entries from 39 press agencies, including 8 Hanoi press agencies, 31 central press agencies, ministries and branches in the area, with all types of press.

On this basis, the Award Secretariat has reviewed and compiled 269 eligible entries (an increase of 36 entries compared to 2022), including 82 print entries, 115 online entries, 23 radio entries, and 49 television entries. From August 12 to August 26, the Preliminary Council has evaluated and introduced 79 entries to the Final Round, including 23 print entries, 38 online entries, and 18 radio and television entries.
Evaluating the quality of this year's award, the Organizing Committee said that many press works were carefully and seriously prepared, closely following reality, accurately reflecting the current issues of Hanoi in cultural development, notably: Preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the process of urbanization, international exchange and integration; digitalizing heritage; promoting traditional cultural values associated with tourism development; building elegant and civilized Hanoians; inspiring creativity, developing the capital's cultural industry...

Two typical press agencies with many quality works participating, namely Hanoi Moi Newspaper and News Department - Vietnam Television, were honored to receive the city's Certificate of Merit for Excellent Collective.

Over 6 seasons, the Press Award for Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians has been increasingly improved in quality, becoming a prestigious press award, creating positive influence among cadres, party members and people, while attracting the attention and response of a large number of reporters and press agencies at the central, local and Hanoi levels.
Comrade Nguyen Van Phong also affirmed that developing culture and building elegant and civilized Hanoians is a task of profound significance that the city pays special attention to. The Hanoi Party Committee has issued major resolutions and work programs on "Developing culture, improving the quality of human resources in the capital, building elegant and civilized Hanoians" with specific, creative and effective solutions, contributing to the sustainable development of the capital.

“The press is a part of culture, each press product is a cultural product. With its pioneering role on the cultural and ideological front, the press has contributed greatly to shaping and spreading cultural values in society, contributing to building and developing culture and people.
The Organizing Committee decided to award prizes to 33 best press works. Of which, 3 A prizes were awarded to the works: "Breakthrough for the Capital's Cultural Industry" by the group of authors from the News Department - Vietnam Television; "The Pain of Drowning in Memories" by the group of authors from Vietnam Television and the work "Rural Architecture Planning: What Will Happen in the Future?" by the group of authors Tran Hong Van - Hoang Le Quyen - Doan Anh Tuan - Nguyen Huu Tiep of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes.
