- Following the directives of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade , and the Provincial People's Committee regarding the roadmap for transitioning to E10 bioethanol, the Department of Industry and Trade has proactively implemented many comprehensive solutions from an early stage to ensure that the transition proceeds smoothly, without disrupting the market and fully meeting the consumption needs of the people.
Currently, the demand for petroleum products in the province is approximately 2,000 - 2,200 m³/day, with a distribution system comprising 10 main distributors, 11 sub-distributors, and 733 retail gasoline stations. With a widespread distribution network, preparations have been thorough and coordinated.
Immediately after the implementation plan was announced, the Department worked with key businesses and distributors to agree on a supply plan, ensuring sufficient quantities of E10 gasoline to serve the market and absolutely preventing any shortages or disruptions in supply during the transition.
In addition, businesses are required to review and upgrade their tanks, pumps, and pipelines to conform to the technical specifications of E10 gasoline. At the same time, the Department is strengthening inspections and supervision of gasoline business operations to promptly detect and handle violations related to product quality, origin, and price listing.

* Currently, many people still have concerns about the quality and safety of E10 gasoline. Could you provide more detailed information about the advantages, safety features, and usability of this fuel for vehicles currently in circulation?
This is an understandable sentiment because any new fuel needs time for people to get used to it before it's introduced. However, the reality is that E10 gasoline has been used in many countries around the world for a long time and is considered safe for vehicle engines if used according to technical standards.
Previously, Vietnam had implemented E5 bioethanol fuel, so people gradually became familiar with the trend of using biofuels. With E10 gasoline, the ethanol content is higher but still fully meets technical standards and is suitable for many types of engines.
Consumers can rest assured using E10 gasoline because it is an environmentally friendly fuel that contributes to reducing harmful emissions, limiting air pollution, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The use of E10 gasoline is an inevitable trend in the green energy transition roadmap that Vietnam is aiming for.
Furthermore, authorities will strengthen inspections and supervision of gasoline and diesel fuel businesses in the area to ensure fuel quality before it is supplied to the market. Management from the import and blending stages to distribution is carried out in accordance with technical regulations, so consumers can rest assured during use.
* What benefits will the introduction of E10 gasoline bring to the province in its green and sustainable development orientation?
- In the context of a world facing numerous changes related to energy security and the environment, the development and use of biofuels is of great importance to the goal of sustainable development.
First and foremost, the use of E10 gasoline contributes to gradually reducing dependence on imported petroleum products, enhancing the country's self-sufficiency in energy supply.
For the province, the deployment of E10 gasoline also opens up opportunities to promote the development of a biofuel production chain serving the processing of fuel ethanol. This creates favorable conditions to increase the value of agricultural products, create more jobs, and contribute to promoting local economic development in a green and sustainable direction.
From an environmental perspective, the benefits of E10 gasoline are clear: it helps reduce harmful emissions, contributing to limiting air pollution and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This aligns with Vietnam's green economic development, green growth, and commitment to net-zero emissions.
The rollout of E10 gasoline is not simply a change in fuel type, but also demonstrates a commitment to transitioning to a sustainable, environmentally friendly development model. With the coordinated preparation of management agencies and businesses, along with the consensus of the people, the province expects to successfully implement this roadmap, contributing to the nation's efforts to build a modern, green economy in the future.
