Quang Tri Newspaper accompanies the development of our homeland and country.

This morning, January 18th, Quang Tri Newspaper held a conference to summarize its propaganda and publishing work in 2024 and to implement tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ho Dai Nam; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam; and the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri Province, Duong Tan Long.

The province prominently publicizes important political events.

Over the past period, Quang Tri Newspaper has proactively organized and carried out its task of providing information and propaganda on various aspects of social life, accompanying the development of the homeland and the country.

In 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper published 260 daily issues, 52 weekend issues, 12 special issues, and 2 Tet (Lunar New Year) issues. During holidays and Tet, the newspaper published multiple issues at once.

The newspaper publishes 365 pages of online news, selecting articles with content relevant to foreign audiences for translation and publication on the English-language page. Some articles are converted into audio news to cater to the diverse needs of readers.

In addition, the newspaper produces and publishes three video clips every week. The Quang Tri newspaper's fanpage, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter accounts update numerous news articles and video clips on various aspects of socio-economic life to widely disseminate information on social media.

The newspaper continues to maintain sections such as "Party Building," "Today's Issues," "Weekend Forum," and "Good People - Good Deeds"... to focus on disseminating information about the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; directly combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints; guiding public opinion; and strengthening people's trust.

Notably, during the year, Quang Tri Newspaper launched many special pages and sections to prominently publicize important political events of the province; organized a writing contest on the theme "Outstanding role models in ethnic minority areas" in conjunction with the 4th Provincial Ethnic Minority Congress; and published special issues to celebrate major events, such as the announcement of the provincial planning, the groundbreaking ceremony for Quang Tri Airport, and other key projects.

In 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper received more than 60 letters and information from citizens. After receiving them, the editorial board directed the classification of the letters and processed them according to their specific content. The handling of citizens' letters has contributed to enhancing the newspaper's critical analysis, meeting the aspirations of the people, and helping the government and relevant agencies understand and resolve issues appropriately and in accordance with the law.

Through networking and mobilizing charitable organizations and individuals, Quang Tri Newspaper organized 24 gift-giving events for disadvantaged people and students in the area, with a total budget of nearly 2.1 billion VND. The newspaper's trade union and youth union also organized many charitable social activities in remote areas with a budget of approximately 500 million VND.

Over the past year, Quang Tri Newspaper has won numerous journalism awards organized by the central and provincial authorities, including: 1 Third Prize at the National Journalism Awards; 1 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award at the central level; 4 Quang Tri Provincial Journalism Awards; 4 Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards at the Quang Tri Provincial level...

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of its staff and reporters, in 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper received a commendation from the Provincial Party Committee for organizing the 2024 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award competition; and for implementing the Provincial Party Committee's regulations on coordinating inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement within the Party. The Provincial People's Committee also awarded a commendation for its work in promoting the Peace Festival. The Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc recognized the Quang Tri Newspaper Party Branch as an outstanding and exemplary branch in fulfilling its duties.

Authentic and multifaceted information on pressing issues that are causing public concern.

In 2025, the entire province will accelerate towards the finish line, striving to complete the targets set forth in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; it will be a year with many activities commemorating major holidays of the homeland and the country; and a year of conducting party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

Therefore, Quang Tri Newspaper will focus on disseminating information effectively and with high quality regarding important political events of the country and the province; providing in-depth coverage of Party building work; and emphasizing the solution-oriented nature of journalism. It will also effectively combat and refute false viewpoints and harmful information on the internet and social media.

Focus on disseminating information about administrative reforms and investment promotion activities. Promptly clarify and provide truthful, multi-faceted information on pressing issues causing public concern; act as a bridge to convey the legitimate aspirations and concerns of all segments of the population to Party committees, government agencies, and relevant authorities. Actively combat corruption and waste, and criticize negative manifestations in social life.

Continue to build a team of officials and employees with sufficient qualities, capabilities, and professional ethics; strive towards a journalism that is highly combative, modern, professional, and humane. Promote social and charitable activities, contributing to ensuring social welfare in the province.

Participate with quality in national journalism awards and specialized journalism awards organized by the central and provincial authorities.

Continuing to affirm the guiding position and role of the press.

Delivering a speech at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the achievements of Quang Tri Newspaper in propaganda, publishing, charitable activities, and social welfare in 2024.

Adhering closely to the political tasks of the Party and government, we will disseminate information and propaganda to create widespread consensus and trust in the Party's leadership, thereby generating strength to build a more developed homeland and country.

Reassess organizational and operational capabilities to develop a plan for improvement and continue striving to excel in future tasks. Continue developing a multimedia journalism platform to serve the ever-increasing information needs of readers.

Strengthen information and communication efforts regarding investment promotion activities and the mobilization of resources to promote the comprehensive socio-economic development of the province; prominently highlight the outstanding achievements the province has attained in the past period.

Frankly reflecting on the shortcomings and flaws in society, and then proposing solutions to build a better society.
