
At 4:00 a.m. on July 25, the storm center was at about 16.8 degrees North latitude; 120.3 degrees East longitude, right on the mainland west of Lu Dong island. The strongest wind near the storm center reached level 9-10 (75-102 km/h), gusting to level 12. The storm moved in an East-Southeast direction at a speed of about 10 km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 to 36 hours, the storm will continue to move northeast, traveling 20-30 km per hour and gradually weaken.
By 4 p.m. on July 26, the storm is likely to weaken into a low pressure area in the sea east of Taiwan (China).
The eastern sea area of the North East Sea today continues to have strong winds of level 7-8, near the storm center strong winds of level 9-10, gusting to level 12. Waves are from 4.0 to 6.0 m high, very rough seas. Vehicles operating in this sea area are likely to be affected by storms, strong gusts and big waves.
People, especially fishermen working at sea, need to proactively prevent, closely monitor the next news and strictly follow the storm prevention instructions of the authorities.
Hai Phong City Hydrometeorological Station also announced that through monitoring radar images at 5:10 am this morning, July 25, convective clouds are developing, causing thunderstorms in the southwestern area of Hai Phong city, including: Hai Hung, Nguyen Luong Bang, Bac Thanh Mien, Gia Phuc, Truong Tan, Dai Son, Chi Minh, Tan Ky, Tu Ky, Thanh Mien, Tan An, Vinh Lai, Khuc Thua Du, Nam Thanh Mien, Hong Chau, Ninh Giang, Lac Phuong, Ninh Giang, Nguyen Giap, Vinh Hoa, Thuong Hong...
In addition, in the Hung Yen area, convective clouds are moving towards Hai Phong City. In the current period to the next few hours, convective clouds continue to develop and cause showers and thunderstorms for the above areas and then to neighboring communes/wards.
During thunderstorms, be on guard against tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endangering human life.
