Previously, on May 22, Ho Chi Minh City Police closely coordinated with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention - Ministry of Public Security and related units to investigate and arrest 3 Korean nationals, including: Jeong Kiwon (48 years old), Park Jaihyung (40 years old) and Jang WooJin (43 years old) for using high technology to commit crimes.
All three subjects are currently under international arrest warrant. Specifically, according to records from Interpol, the subjects created and operated online gambling and betting websites, operating an online gambling system in Vietnam.

This group of subjects often communicate via Telegram and set their messages to automatically delete during the day to avoid detection by authorities. These subjects entered and operated in Vietnam under the guise of foreign investors and experts sponsored by a number of businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, legalizing their visa and temporary residence card applications.
Upon entering Vietnam, the subjects did not stay at the address declared upon entry but hid in many areas in Ho Chi Minh City, making it difficult for the police to capture them.
After many days of surveillance, on May 22, the police arrested the subjects with wanted notices and related subjects, and seized many pieces of evidence related to the subjects' illegal activities.
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed to their violations of the law.
On the night of May 26, the police handed over 3 subjects to the Korean side via Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City Police will continue to closely coordinate with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies in detecting and combating foreign subjects who take advantage of the city's area to hide and commit illegal activities./.
