Singapore is a country where people come from many places around the world , including Vietnam. Therefore, the cuisine of this island nation has many similarities with Vietnamese cuisine in terms of ingredients, sauces, and spices, making it very accessible and addictive for many diners. Anyone who has ever been here will surely enjoy the filter coffee which has the same form and method as the shops in District 5 (HCMC).
Authentic Singaporean restaurant with Sing Puff cakes from 19,000 VND
Singaporeans also have stir-fried pho but with different spices and more broth than stir-fried pho in Hanoi . They have attractive chili crab with the main sauce as the Southern people focus on the sauce for tamarind crab. Many Hainanese chicken rice restaurants are present in Vietnam, becoming a familiar office lunch dish. But to find a restaurant with a diverse menu such as Sing Puff, chili crab, stir-fried pho,... with Singaporean flavor, at an affordable price is not easy. Singchiak restaurant (Mo Lao urban area, Ha Dong district, Hanoi) has been open for about 2 years, with a Singaporean chef coming to train and accompany for 6 months.

"There are many dishes here that I like the most, I like almost every dish. For example, Singapore's chili crab is very authentic. Normally, I have to go to Singapore or Malaysia to eat this kind of taste.
There are also frog porridge, bird hotpot,... which are also very delicious. The price compared to other restaurants I have eaten at, but with a beautiful space like this, you can have meetings before the meal, the price here is very reasonable, even cheaper than some places", Ms. Dang Thuy Ha, a regular customer of Singchiak restaurant, shared.
Sing Puff cakes are priced from 19,000 VND/piece.

Ms. Pham Thi Hang, owner of Singchiak restaurant, said that the restaurant's crab ingredients are usually fresh crabs, weighing about 600 - 700 grams, with firm meat, and adding a secret sauce to create an attractive dish, especially when it is just made and still hot.
The restaurant's Sing Puff looks like a pillow cake at first glance, but tastes completely different. The restaurant has flavors such as sardine, char siu, curry, and pateso to please domestic and foreign customers. While Vietnamese customers prefer char siu and pateso, many foreign customers prefer curry. The cake is handmade with a crispy, multi-layered crust and soft, juicy filling.
The restaurant is rated by customers as having reasonable prices compared to many other Singaporean restaurants.

Many Singaporean dishes are loved by Vietnamese people because they are cooked from the same ingredients such as ribs, birds, crabs, chicken feet... but are renewed in the use of spices and preparation methods.
Hainanese chicken rice also has boiled chicken and salad like Hoi An chicken rice, but the difference when enjoying, the sauce and dipping sauce are also different. In particular, Singapore chicken rice will be richer with flavors such as char siu, roasted chicken, can be mixed upon request, while Hoi An chicken rice has young eggs, herbs, a little crispy fried onion or chicken will be made into salad with Vietnamese coriander.
Ms. Nguyen Khoa Dieu Linh, a customer of the restaurant, said that her favorite foods are Sing Puff with char siu filling and Sing Puff with pateso filling.
