Similarly, DOJI Group listed SJC gold at VND89.4 million/tael for buying and VND91.7 million/tael for selling, down VND600,000 for both buying and selling compared to yesterday. The difference between buying and selling prices is VND2.3 million.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 90-91.4 million VND/tael for buying and selling. World gold price today February 22, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 2,928.64 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.33% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,638 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 90.5 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 1.2 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell on Friday as investors booked profits from the previous session's record high, but were headed for an eighth straight weekly gain, helped by strong safe-haven demand amid concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff plans.
Spot gold fell 0.3% to $2,930.85 an ounce as of 10:07 a.m. ET (1507 GMT). Bullion has gained about 1.7% this week after rising to a record $2,954.69 on Thursday.
US gold futures fell 0.4% to $2,945.20.
“This is just a classic move of new record highs and profit taking… (but) the fundamentals of gold remain solid,” said Alex Ebkarian, managing director at Allegiance Gold.
Prices broke two record highs this week to trade above $2,950 an ounce, as uncertainties around global economic growth and political turmoil have underscored investor demand for bullion, which has risen 11.5% so far in 2025.
“Gold demand is currently mainly driven by Western investors and central banks. ETF investors appear to be joining this trend,” Commerzbank analysts said in a note.
Trump's new tariff plan announced earlier this week includes duties on lumber and forestry products, in addition to previously announced plans to impose tariffs on imported cars, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.
The move comes after the imposition of an additional 10% tariff on imports from China and a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum.
Ebkarian said gold's safe-haven role has yet to be fully realized as the shift from risk assets to safer assets has been insignificant, with money remaining on the sidelines.
Investors are also watching the trajectory of the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rates for clues, as Trump's policies are seen as inflationary. Higher inflation could force the Fed to maintain higher interest rates, reducing the appeal of non-yielding gold.
Spot silver fell 0.6% to $32.74 an ounce and palladium fell 0.9% to $968.78. Both metals were on track for weekly gains.
Platinum fell 1% to $969.05 and is expected to decline this week.
