According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,928.64 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is down 0.33% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,638 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 90.5 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 1.2 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell on Friday as investors took profits from the previous session's record high, but were on track for their eighth consecutive weekly gain, fueled by strong safe-haven demand amid concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump's planned tariffs.
Spot gold fell 0.3% to $2,930.85 an ounce as of 10:07 a.m. Eastern time (1507 GMT). Gold bullion has risen about 1.7% this week after surging to a record high of $2,954.69 on Thursday.
US gold futures fell 0.4% to $2,945.20.
"This is just the classic move of reaching new record highs and profit-taking... (but) the fundamentals of gold remain solid," said Alex Ebkarian, managing director at Allegiance Gold.
Prices broke two record highs this week to trade above $2,950/oz, as uncertainties surrounding global economic growth and political instability have underscored investor demand for gold bullion, which has risen 11.5% so far in 2025.
"Gold demand is currently being driven primarily by Western investors and central banks," Commerzbank analysts said in a note. "ETF investors appear to be joining this trend."
Trump's new tariff plan, announced earlier this week, includes tariffs on lumber and forestry products, in addition to previously announced plans to impose tariffs on imported automobiles, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals.
This move follows the imposition of an additional 10% tariff on imports from China and a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum.
Ebkarian said that gold's safe-haven role has not yet been fully realized because the shift from riskier to safer assets has not been significant, as money remains on the sidelines.
Investors are also watching the trajectory of the US Federal Reserve's interest rates for clues, as Trump's policies are seen as inflationary. Higher inflation could force the Fed to maintain high interest rates, thus reducing the attractiveness of non-yielding gold.
Spot silver prices fell 0.6% to $32.74 per ounce and palladium prices declined 0.9% to $968.78. Both metals were on track for gains this week.
Platinum fell 1% to $969.05 and is expected to decline further this week.
