Representatives from residential groups in the ward exchanged views at the conference.

Phong Dinh Ward currently has 33 residential areas with 6,803 households, 28,012 inhabitants, and a natural area of 87.16 km². The locality plans to reorganize and merge the 33 existing residential areas to form 10 new ones. The reorganization will be carried out based on adjacent residential areas, ensuring convenient management, preserving historical and cultural values, and creating conditions to promote socio-economic development.

The project also aims to build a team of local officials by promoting the role of reputable and experienced individuals in the community; while creating opportunities for young officials with expertise in science and technology to participate in local work.

The delegates generally agreed with the draft proposal. Many opinions focused on selecting names for the new residential areas that reflect local history and culture; considering appropriate merger options for easier management; and paying attention to the current regulations regarding the policies and benefits for part-time personnel.

The leaders of Phong Dinh ward have incorporated the feedback received to refine the project proposal, ensuring its feasibility and gaining public consensus. Following the meeting, the local authorities will continue to gather broad public opinion and finalize the dossier for submission to the competent authorities for consideration and approval before June 30th.
