Khanh Hung commune has a natural area of nearly 14,700 hectares, with 4,678 households and over 18,300 inhabitants, comprising 16 hamlets. A review of the situation revealed that 14 out of 16 hamlets do not meet the minimum standards for size and number of households as stipulated. Maintaining multiple small-scale hamlets creates difficulties in management and community organization, leading to an increase in the number of part-time community workers at the grassroots level.

The commune is expected to have 6 hamlets remaining after the merger.

According to the plan for implementing the Project, Khanh Hung commune will be reduced from 16 hamlets to 6 hamlets.

Specifically, Thai Tri hamlet was established by merging the entire Thai Quang, Thai Ky, and Thai Vinh hamlets; Lang Lon hamlet was established by merging Lang Lon and Roc Do hamlets; Hung Dien A hamlet was established by merging hamlets 1 and 2; Ben Pho hamlet was established by merging hamlets 3, Go Xoai, Ta Nu, and Bau Chua; Hung Dien hamlet was established by merging Hung Dien, Ca Trot, and a part of Bau Sen hamlet; Go Chau Mai hamlet was established by merging Go Chau Mai, Say Giang, and the remaining part of Bau Sen hamlet.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Khanh Hung commune, Tran Van Cuong, emphasized that the plan to reorganize hamlets in the area aims to implement the policy of continuing to innovate, towards a streamlined, effective, and efficient operation.

He suggested that departments and organizations coordinate with Party branches and the Management Boards of hamlets to continue promoting propaganda and mobilization efforts so that people understand the purpose and significance of the hamlet reorganization; strengthen monitoring of public opinion, and promptly record the opinions and suggestions of the people during the implementation process.

The approval of the Project is an important basis for the locality to continue implementing the next steps in accordance with the prescribed procedures, ensuring suitability to the actual situation in the locality, creating consensus among the people, and contributing to improving the effectiveness of the political system at the grassroots level in the future.
