Consumers are starting to trust E10 gasoline.
From June 1st, E10 bioethanol fuel will officially be distributed nationwide, replacing RON95-III mineral gasoline. However, in Quang Ngai , this fuel has already been included in the distribution system since the end of April 2026. After more than a month of implementation, the market is operating stably, supply is ensured, and consumers are gradually forming the habit of using the new fuel.

Speaking with a reporter from the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Man, Director of the Quang Ngai Department of Industry and Trade, said that to implement the roadmap for transitioning to biofuels, petroleum businesses in the province have simultaneously introduced E10 gasoline into their distribution systems since the end of April 2026. To date, business operations have been normal, with no unusual fluctuations in supply or consumption markets recorded.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Deputy Director of Petrolimex Quang Ngai, the company has been selling E10 RON95-III gasoline since September 2025 at three gas stations, including Gas Stations 21, 22, and 29, with an average total output of approximately 150 m3/month.

In the former Quang Ngai province area, the supply of E10 gasoline is fully guaranteed by the Dung Quat Refinery. By April 29, 2026, 32 gas stations in this area will have completed the conversion and are selling E10 gasoline. From May 1, 2026, all franchised gas stations in the area will also switch to selling this product.
Observations made on the morning of June 1st at many gas stations in the province showed that sales were proceeding normally. People continued to fill up with E10 gasoline like other fuels. For customers who still had concerns, staff at the stations proactively advised and explained the fuel's quality and its performance for their vehicles.

Mr. Do Hoai Nhon (47 years old, Nghia Lo ward) said he has been using E10 gasoline for over a month. According to him, there is no significant difference in vehicle operation compared to before, so he continues to choose this type of fuel.
"So far, the vehicle's operation is normal, with no difference. Therefore, I will continue to use E10 gasoline, avoiding the use of different types of gasoline which can make it difficult for the engine to run," Mr. Nhon shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Cam Thanh ward) admitted that she was initially quite confused about E10 gasoline due to receiving conflicting information. However, after receiving a detailed explanation from the store staff, she decided to use it and felt more reassured.
Adapt quickly to the roadmap for using E10 gasoline.
As one of the first units to implement the E10 gasoline business, Petrolimex Quang Ngai has proactively prepared all the necessary conditions in terms of infrastructure, fuel sources, and human resources.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Store Manager of Petrolimex Quang Ngai's Store No. 1, said that since April, the unit has been ready with all the necessary conditions to introduce E10 gasoline into business.
“Early deployment gives businesses more time to perfect their operational processes. At the same time, it allows customers to become familiar with the new product. To date, business operations have been stable and the market has adapted well to E10 gasoline,” Mr. Dung said.
At Thanh Binh gas station in Cam Thanh ward, the transition is also being implemented according to a suitable schedule. Ms. Nguyen Bui Bao Ngoc, the station manager, said that the unit started selling E10 gasoline in mid-May, while simultaneously selling the remaining mineral gasoline in the storage tanks.
To date, the remaining stock of conventional gasoline has been consumed, and the store is ready to switch exclusively to selling E10 gasoline as required by regulations.
"Since launching the sale, the store has not received any negative feedback. Many customers have returned to choose E10 gasoline again for subsequent refueling trips, showing that the product is gradually gaining the trust of consumers," Ms. Ngoc shared.

The Director of the Quang Ngai Department of Industry and Trade stated that they will strengthen propaganda about the benefits of E10 gasoline, and intensify inspections and supervision of gasoline blending, distribution, and trading activities at stores and distribution units to protect consumer rights. Quang Ngai province currently has approximately 365 retail gasoline stations. With the advantage of owning the Dung Quat Oil Refinery producing mineral gasoline and the Dung Quat Bio-Ethanol Plant producing fuel ethanol, the locality is considered to have many favorable conditions to lead the transition to biofuels.
From April 30, 2026, retail gasoline stations and small-scale gasoline outlets in the province began selling E10 gasoline, one month earlier than the national schedule. To date, the entire distribution system in the province has simultaneously started selling this type of fuel.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province, after more than a month of implementation, the market is operating stably, the supply is ensured, and no unusual complaints have been recorded from consumers.
“In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to closely monitor supply and demand developments, and promptly advise on solutions to respond when the market fluctuates. In addition, the local industry and trade sector will strengthen propaganda about the benefits of E10 gasoline, and intensify inspection and supervision of blending, distribution, and trading activities at gas stations and distribution units to protect consumer rights, while promptly detecting and strictly handling violations,” Mr. Man said.
E10 gasoline is a blend of 90% mineral gasoline and 10% fuel ethanol. Besides its price advantage (currently priced at over 23,600 VND/liter), E10 gasoline also contributes to reduced emissions, is more environmentally friendly, and ensures a domestic supply of blending materials. From June 1st, E10 gasoline will be officially distributed nationwide, replacing RON95-III mineral gasoline, while E5 RON92 gasoline will continue to be used until the end of 2030.
