Election to appoint two additional Vice Chairmen of the Hanoi People's Committee.

On the morning of May 11th, the Hanoi City People's Council, 17th term (2026-2031), held a special session (second session) to consider various issues within its jurisdiction, including personnel matters.

At the meeting, the majority of Hanoi City People's Council delegates approved the election of Mr. Bui Duy Cuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, as Vice Chairmen of the Hanoi City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.

Thus, after the by-election of Mr. Bui Duy Cuong and Mr. Do Anh Tuan, the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term will have Chairman Vu Dai Thang and six Vice-Chairmen. The Vice-Chairmen of the Hanoi People's Committee are: Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu, Mr. Bui Duy Cuong, Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Mr. Truong Viet Dung, and Ms. Vu Thu Ha.

Mr. Bui Duy Cuong (53 years old) previously served as the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Soc Son commune. In February 2026, he was transferred and assigned by the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee to work at the Department of Agriculture and Environment, where he was appointed as the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Mr. Do Anh Tuan (55 years old), before being elected as Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, had previously held positions such as Director of the former Department of Planning and Investment, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, and Chairman of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
