An 11-year-old girl was beaten with electrical wires by her mother and her lover.

On June 27th, sources informed VietNamNet that the Viet Tri City Police are investigating a suspected case of child abuse in Minh Phuong ward.

Accordingly, in the early morning of June 26th, residents heard children crying at Ms. CTN's house and went to investigate. They then discovered that M. (11 years old, Ms. N.'s son) had numerous injuries.

After receiving the report, the Minh Phuong Ward Police invited Ms. N. and her boyfriend to come in for questioning. Meanwhile, M. was taken to Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital for care and health check-up.

Based on initial investigations, the Minh Phuong Ward Police found that the incident showed signs of child abuse and therefore proposed transferring it to the Viet Tri City Police for further investigation.

At the police station, the mother initially admitted that on the evening of June 25th, at the family's guesthouse in Viet Tri city, M. opened the refrigerator to take out ice cream and let it melt and spill onto the floor. Seeing this, the mother scolded M. and, along with her boyfriend, used a piece of electrical wire to beat M.'s legs and arms.

Afterward, all three returned to their private home in the Van Co area to rest. There, Ms. N. used an electrical wire to beat her son again.

On June 27th, to protect children's rights and strictly address acts of abuse and violence, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Phu Tho province issued a document requesting the People's Committee of Viet Tri City to urgently investigate, verify information, and strictly handle acts of abuse and violence against child M.
