Closing Ceremony of the First Sop Cop Commune Sports Festival

On June 1st, Sop Cop commune concluded its first Sports Festival in 2026. The festival, held from March to the end of May, attracted over 600 athletes from 14 agencies and units and 19 villages, competing in events including: 7-a-side men's football, men's and women's volleyball, tug-of-war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, traditional ball throwing, and badminton.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the competitions were organized safely and in accordance with regulations; the contests were lively and of high professional quality. The athletes participated with a spirit of "unity - honesty - sportsmanship," and the traditional sports and folk games, in particular, were very attractive, drawing large crowds of people to watch and cheer enthusiastically.

The organizing committee awarded the overall team prize to the participating units.

At the conclusion of the Games, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Cang village; the second prize to Sop Cop village; the third prize to Sop Cop High School; and 23 sets of first, second, and third place medals to athletes who achieved outstanding results.

The organizers presented awards to the badminton winners.
