K Hospital inaugurates new 4D CT simulation and accelerator radiotherapy system

This system is synchronized with radiation therapy planning, data management and patient treatment software, as well as testing and calibration equipment according to international standards. With the new system, Tam Hiep facility is capable of deploying a variety of techniques, from basic methods such as 3D radiotherapy, to advanced dose-modulated radiotherapy techniques that are being applied in the world .

Using this system, high-tech radiotherapy techniques can be widely applied in the treatment of cancer to bring the best treatment results and quality of life for patients, avoiding unwanted complications caused by radiotherapy.

K Hospital opens new accelerated radiotherapy system

According to Mr. Do Anh Tu, Deputy Director of K Hospital, cancer treatment is a multi-modal treatment, with coordination between 3 major specialties: surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In which, radiotherapy is one of the main methods to treat cancer, bringing high efficiency to patients.

New accelerator radiotherapy system will improve treatment quality for cancer patients

As of June 2025, K Hospital has 7 radiotherapy machines, but with more than 20,000 patients being treated at the hospital and the number of people coming for examination and treatment of more than 500,000 people/year and increasing, the hospital's radiotherapy machine system is having to operate from 20-23 hours/day. To meet the increasing radiotherapy needs of patients, in the coming time, K Hospital will continue to invest in more radiotherapy machine systems.
