On the afternoon of January 3, 2025, Bac Lieu Department of Health held a conference to summarize the health work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. In 2024, Bac Lieu Health sector strives to achieve and exceed many important targets in public health care: The rate of people participating in health insurance is estimated at 94% (achieved), the number of hospital beds/10,000 people: 30.16/30 (exceeded), the number of doctors/10,000 people: 12.7/12 (exceeded); medical examination and treatment facilities in the province are interested in investing resources, constantly improving quality, ensuring adequate conditions to provide services to patients in the best way. Treatment and bed occupancy rates at medical facilities achieved high results of 89.1% (provincial level reached 104.1%, district level reached nearly 86%), during the year there were over 3 million patients examined and treated, of which over 2.4 million were examined and treated with health insurance, accounting for 78.8% ( source : Report of the Bac Lieu Provincial Department of Health Conference in 2024) .
Currently, the number of patients with eye diseases is increasing rapidly and the variety of eye diseases is increasing, but treatment is still limited.
