In the 2025-2026 school year, striving for 100% of students to participate in health insurance, these days, the Social Insurance sector has actively coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of communes and wards to direct and organize the implementation of health insurance for students. Mr. Dinh Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance, said: Entering the new school year, when the new 2-level local government comes into operation, the implementation of the health insurance policy for students will face many difficulties compared to previous years. The Provincial Social Insurance focuses on comprehensively innovating the content, form and methods of propaganda, emphasizing the meaning, role and practical benefits of participating in health insurance for students; In particular, widely disseminate regulations on new support levels according to Decree No. 188/2025/ND-CP dated July 1, 2025 of the Government detailing and guiding a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance, in which the Central budget supports at least 50% of the contribution level for students.
Social insurance agencies closely coordinate with schools to make lists and mobilize students to participate in health insurance. Fully and promptly transfer primary health care funds to schools in accordance with regulations. Organize school health care well, ensure that schools have medical staff or sign contracts with qualified medical facilities; effectively manage and use funds from the health insurance fund in accordance with regulations. Strengthen inspection and examination of health insurance implementation for students at schools.
