Clean Agriculture - From Farm to Table

In the current consumer trend, clean and safe food is increasingly becoming the priority choice of many families. Grasping that trend, the Green Agriculture Cooperative 26/3, Chieng Sinh Ward has successfully built a clean agricultural model “from farm to table”, bringing positive results.

Green Store 26/3 staff arrange green vegetable products.

The 26/3 Green Agriculture Cooperative was established in April 2016, with 7 members growing 3 hectares of vegetables, applying automatic irrigation systems, greenhouses and introducing new crop varieties into production. Up to now, the cooperative has cooperated with 15 households in Chieng Mung commune, producing vegetables according to VietGAP standards, committing to "5 no's" (no herbicides, no pesticides, no growth stimulants, no chemical fertilizers, no genetically modified varieties).

Expanding product consumption, the cooperative maintains 4 green stalls, selling various vegetables and fruits at 7/11 market, Rang Tech market, 308 market, Chieng An market. In addition, the cooperative has a contract to supply clean vegetables to 1 hospital, 13 schools in To Hieu, Chieng Sinh, Chieng Coi wards. On average, each year the cooperative supplies more than 100 tons of vegetables, tubers, and fruits to the market. Total revenue reaches 2.8 billion VND, creating regular jobs for 10 workers, with a salary of 7-10 million VND/person/month; creating seasonal jobs for 30 local workers, with an income of 250 thousand VND/day.

Not only providing fresh vegetables and fruits, the "Green Kitchen 26/3" model has been implemented by the Cooperative since 2023, helping to increase the value of agricultural products. At the Green 26/3 store, No. 87, Giang Lac Street, Group 3 Quyet Thang, To Hieu Ward, food is kept clean; there are 6 refrigerators for food storage. The dishes are pre-processed and prepared during the day, ensuring freshness, helping customers save time, while still being assured of quality.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tham, Deputy Director of the Cooperative, said: On average, "Green Kitchen 26/3" prepares about 100 meals a day, with nearly 20 different dishes, from savory dishes, soups, soups to ready-made dishes such as salads, mixed noodles, pho rolls, fried spring rolls. All dishes combine clean vegetables from the Cooperative and strictly controlled meat and fish sources. In addition, the store also orders specialties and OCOP products from inside and outside the province, creating a rich and diverse "green kitchen", meeting the increasing needs of customers. In addition, the Cooperative upgraded its identity from the clean vegetable stall 26/3 to the green store 26/3, using social networks Facebook, Zalo and social platforms TikTok for promotion, combining online sales and home delivery.

Ms. Pham Phuong Thao, Group 11, Chieng Le, To Hieu Ward, said: The store is like a miniature market, from spices to pre-processed and pre-cooked dishes, everything is complete. Thanks to that, I save a lot of time, ensuring my family's meals are fresh and delicious.

Expanding business, creating more jobs for workers, the cooperative wishes to access preferential capital sources of the province to invest in increasing the area of ​​greenhouses, applying high technology to produce off-season vegetables, building vegetable processing plants according to standards. Focusing on producing high-tech vegetables, tubers and fruits; linking to expand the market to bring clean agricultural products of Son La to consumers nationwide.

The flexibility and creativity of the 26/3 Green Agriculture Cooperative not only affirms a correct direction, but also contributes to shortening the gap between producers and consumers. The widespread replication of the “from farm to table” model will contribute to promoting sustainable agriculture and building safe and civilized consumption habits.
