" After the team scored a goal, I impulsively ran towards the Viettel coaching staff to celebrate. I knew what I did was wrong and the coach did it because he loved his students so much and wanted the best for me, " player Ngo Anh Duc shared after the incident on the afternoon of August 21.

In the 66th minute of the semi-final match of the National U15 tournament between SLNA and Viettel, coach Ngo Quang Truong ran onto the field in anger and grabbed a water bottle to hit his player Ngo Anh Duc. The coach born in 1972 was still angry, so the SLNA U15 players had to intervene and calm down the head coach.

Coach Ngo Quang Truong beat his student for provoking his opponent.

This incident stemmed from Anh Duc’s provocative celebration with the Viettel U15 players in the technical cabin. Although the action was harsh, it was aimed at disciplining the students of Coach Ngo Quang Truong, which has received mixed opinions in recent days.

" Mr. Truong is a very gentle and friendly person but also very strict in living and training with us. He always reminds us about attitude, spirit and confidence when competing. After the match, he and I hugged each other and I felt his warmth and love.

I apologized to the teacher and I promise not to do it again. This is a valuable lesson for me, not only in manners and politeness but also in sportsmanship and respect for opponents.

Even though we lost in the final, throughout the past time, you have always encouraged, motivated, and helped us have a successful tournament and valuable experiences for us to grow up. My friends and I are very grateful to you. Thank you everyone for always being there and encouraging us, " Ngo Anh Duc wrote.

U15 SLNA defeated U15 Viettel 5-2 to advance to the final. However, coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team lost 0-5 to U15 PVF and won the runner-up position.
