Learning from Uncle Ho's exemplary style, with the motto "practice goes hand in hand with words", the Party Secretary of Ban Trang Lieng A Kin village decided to choose a comprehensive economic development model from cultivation and livestock. Accordingly, Mr. Kin invested in building solid barns to raise breeding and commercial buffaloes and cows. The advantage for Mr. Kin to develop buffalo and cow farming is based on his family's long-standing practical experience in raising cattle, plus the abundant area of natural grass and grass grown as food for buffalo and cows. Currently, he maintains raising 5-10 commercial buffalo and cows. After each sale, he continues to re-herd, leaving no barn empty. In addition, he also raises 1 breeding pig, 8 commercial pigs, 100 poultry, 30 bee colonies and fish with a water surface area of nearly 1,000 m2.
In addition to developing livestock, responding to the movement to renovate mixed gardens according to Resolution 05 of the Provincial Party Committee, taking advantage of the family's production land fund, Mr. Kin planned and arranged 4,000 m2 of garden land to grow fruit trees such as jackfruit, grapefruit, seedless persimmon, banana and reserved 1,000 m2 of land to grow vegetables in an organic and safe direction. Thanks to the correct application of techniques in planting and caring, Mr. Kin's vegetable garden and fruit garden grew and developed well; some vegetable products and fruit trees were initially harvested, helping to increase the family's income.
Not stopping there, Mr. Kin recently opened a grocery store to serve the needs of people in the village and neighboring areas. Reasonable prices, goods with clear origins, and prioritizing the sale of domestically produced products are the mottos that Mr. Kin set when opening the store, which is also the basis for customers to feel secure when coming to his store to shop.
From production and business activities, Mr. Kin earns more than 100 million VND in profit each year. For many people in the extremely disadvantaged village of Ban Trang, this is a large source of income, but Mr. Kin does not want to stop at this number. He plans to continue expanding the scale of fish farming, increase the herd of livestock and poultry, and sell some additional products to serve the local people.
With his practical experience and knowledge, the Party Secretary of Ban Trang village Lieng A Kin also spent a lot of time propagating, mobilizing, and sharing with households in the village about economic development, creating a spreading influence and competitive spirit in economic development in the locality. In fact, in recent years, the material and spiritual life of the people of Ban Trang village has continuously improved, the poverty rate has decreased year by year. Currently, the whole village has 14 poor households, 9 near-poor households, a decrease of 9 poor and near-poor households compared to 2020.
