Receiving the delegations of the two provinces were Ms. Samdech Men Som On - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Supreme Advisor to the King of Cambodia, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia; Senators of the Senate, members of the National Assembly, leaders of the Central Committee of Cambodia; Mr. Men Vibol - President of the Cambodian People's Party of Svay Rieng Province; Mr. Chum Ha - President of the Svay Rieng Provincial Council; Mr. Peng Posa - Governor of the Svay Rieng Provincial Administration Board; Mr. Chan Sorykan - Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his welcoming speech, Governor of Svay Rieng Provincial Administration Board, Mr. Peng Posa expressed his joy and thanked the delegation of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces for taking their precious time to wish the Cambodian people a happy traditional New Year.

On behalf of the leaders of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee, wished the government and people of Svay Rieng province in particular and Cambodia in general a happy and warm New Year; and wished the friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia to develop more and more sustainably.

In the spirit of “good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability”, in the coming time, the three provinces of Long An - Tay Ninh - Svay Rieng will continue to work together more effectively to implement the policies and comprehensive development cooperation agreements signed by the two governments, as well as the cooperation agreement between Long An, Tay Ninh and Svay Rieng, contributing to consolidating and developing the friendship, solidarity and trust between the two countries in general and the three border provinces in particular.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Samdech Men Som On - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party expressed her joy at welcoming the leaders of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces to visit and celebrate the traditional New Year of the Cambodian people.

Ms. Samdech Men Som On emphasized that Cambodia is constantly being built and increasingly developed. To achieve the results it has today, the Cambodian Party and Government always respectfully acknowledge and thank the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese volunteer army for supporting and helping the Cambodian people to liberate themselves from the Pol Pot genocidal regime. When the country is at peace, Vietnam will continue to provide active support, cooperation and assistance to help Cambodia develop in many areas.
