The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front took place over three days, October 16, 17, and 18, at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ).
The Congress was attended by 1,052 official delegates, representing all sectors of the population in the country and Vietnamese people living abroad; and more than 300 guest delegates.
The success of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the 2024-2029 term, has created new momentum and impetus for a prosperous and successful term. Delegates have demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and high expectations for the new term, embodying the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development".
Continuing to implement President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "Unity, unity, great unity."
Speaking to Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Professor Nguyen Mau Banh said that this was his second time attending the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The first time he attended as Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers, while this time he is attending the Congress as a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. "Compared to the previous time, this Congress was very well prepared and grand, with a large number of delegates, including representatives from all religious groups, dignitaries, and political and social organizations," said Professor Nguyen Mau Banh.
According to Professor Nguyen Mau Banh, our country is entering a stage of development with high goals aimed at the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party (2030) and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the nation (2045). These two goals reflect the aspirations and will of the entire Party and people to build a peaceful , stable, and prosperous Vietnam. To achieve these goals, the role of the Fatherland Front is crucial in mobilizing all organizations and members of society to strive to achieve the objectives set by the Party and the State. Therefore, the tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new term are very challenging.
"As a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I contributed my opinions to the draft of the Congress. This Congress is not only an opportunity to directly contribute opinions, but also a chance to consider and listen to how well my contributions have been received by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. I hope that, after this Congress, in the new term, we will continue to better implement President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: 'Unity, unity, great unity/Success, success, great success'," shared Professor Nguyen Mau Banh.
Expectations are high for many new factors, creating strength in the work of the Fatherland Front.
According to Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, this Congress has many innovations, from organization to planning. With a spirit of unity, democracy, innovation, creativity, and development, he expects the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to have many new elements, creating strength in leading the Front's work in the new term.
Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong stated that the contents and work programs at the Congress contribute to promoting the development of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, as well as upholding the tradition of national unity to continue building a more prosperous and happy country, and strongly unleashing the potential of the people. In the coming time, the Front will continue to fulfill its role in caring for the legitimate rights and interests of the people, creating consensus among the people in building a cleaner and stronger Party and government.
Further enhance the functions of supervision and critical feedback.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Chi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Ladoda Leather Products Manufacturing and Service - Trading Joint Stock Company, the theme of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development," is very appropriate for the current era of digital transformation. This is my third time attending the Congress. In the past term, the strength of national unity was clearly demonstrated. In particular, the Fatherland Front has always been a partner in the development of businesses.
"As a delegate representing the business sector, I expect that after the Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have concrete activities to contribute to raising the voice of businesses, as well as providing support in terms of mechanisms and policies to help businesses develop more strongly and efficiently, contributing to building the country together," said Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Chi .
Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Chi also expressed her hope that during this term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will further develop and deepen its functions of social supervision and criticism; be more creative and innovative, and leverage the strength of the great national unity to contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful country.
Unleashing the power of youth
Speaking to Dai Doan Ket newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Vice President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan (VUAJ), President of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, and Principal of GAG Japanese Language Academy in Japan, said that he was very honored to represent the younger generation in Japan at the Congress, but also worried about how he should act to contribute to his country.
"Representing the younger generation abroad, I hope to convey the message from young overseas Vietnamese that we are always committed to contributing to the development of our country. I expect that the 10th National Congress will bring about changes and breakthroughs, fostering national unity, patriotism, national pride, and the strength of young people abroad, thereby contributing to the development of our country," Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh shared.
