Crowds of people flock to Quan Su Pagoda to worship Buddha's relics

Thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists and people from all over the provinces and cities lined up from dawn on May 14th waiting to pay their respects to the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni. Everyone strictly followed the regulations of the organizing committee and happily walked in to pay their respects.

At dawn, many monks, nuns, Buddhists and people were present at the area outside Quan Su Pagoda (Hoan Kiem District) waiting to enter to worship Buddha's relics.

To ensure safety for people coming to worship, the authorities of Tran Hung Dao ward (Hoan Kiem district) closely coordinated with the organizing committee to direct people and supervise security and order work.

Arriving at Quan Su Pagoda at 5am, Ms. Trinh Thi Cai ( Thai Nguyen province) said: “It was predicted that many people would come to worship, so our group left our hometown at 3am to avoid having to wait in line for a long time. Everyone was happy and excited to see the Buddha's relics with their own eyes. This is a very meaningful event, not everyone has the opportunity to worship the Buddha's relics.”

After 8am, people were still lining up on Da Tuong and Tran Hung Dao streets to visit the Buddha's relics.

After standing in line for more than an hour, Ms. Nguyen Thi Du ( Hoa Binh province) said: "For us, the most important thing is to be able to visit the Buddha's relics. After the visit, our group will visit some relics in Hanoi."

At around 9am, people were still lining up, following the instructions of the organizers to visit the Buddha's relics.
