Thoroughly implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee on strengthening the work of ensuring security and order, and fighting and preventing crimes, from April to May 2025, under the drastic and close direction of the Director and Deputy Director - Head of the Provincial Police Department of Investigation, with the efforts and spirit of fighting and suppressing crimes, the police units in the province have mobilized forces, synchronously deployed professional measures, successfully fought and destroyed many major projects and cases, contributing to maintaining security and order, protecting the peaceful life of the people.

Typically, on April 6, 2025, at Canh Chim hill area in Bac Son ward, Bim Son town, the Office of the Provincial Police Department of Investigation discovered and caught red-handed 2 excavators and 12 cars exploiting minerals (soil) outside the licensed mine area of ​​Tien Chung Company Limited. From April 2024 to April 2025 alone, the subjects exploited beyond the permitted capacity and exploited outside the licensed mine area a total of more than 350 thousand cubic meters of soil, equivalent to more than 20 billion VND).

Next, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency presided over and coordinated with other units to quickly investigate and arrest two Chinese subjects for the act of "violating corpses, graves, and remains" that occurred on May 3, 2025 at the tomb of King Le Tuc Tong in Kien Tho commune, Ngoc Lac district.

The Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Xuan Thien Commune Police, Tho Xuan District to catch red-handed 3 sand mining ships outside the permitted area hired by Minh Thong Minerals Company Limited. Investigating and expanding the case, the Criminal Police Department initiated a case and prosecuted 14 defendants for the act of "Violating regulations on resource exploitation". In particular, with the initiative and flexibility in implementing professional measures, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, the Traffic Police Department, the Mobile Police Department and the Dong Hai Ward Police, Thanh Hoa City to mobilize forces and arrest the especially dangerous wanted subject Bui Dinh Khanh, born in 1994, residing in Gieng Day Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province - a subject who illegally traded in drugs, using an AK gun to fight back against the arresting force in Quang Ninh Province. Successfully fought and destroyed Project 225L and investigated and clarified 2 cases, arrested 5 subjects of "Fraudulent appropriation of property on the Internet" with a total amount of money the subjects appropriated of more than 2 billion VND.

The Economic Police Department fought and dismantled Project 325T, arrested 14 subjects, urgently searched 6 locations which were production sites, workplaces, and places where goods were hidden by the subjects in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, An Giang, Dong Thap provinces; seized 21 types of modern medicine, fake bone and joint medicine (more than 40,000 boxes of finished fake medicine), thousands of product codes of other medicines without invoices or goods; more than 18,000 boxes of various types, 142 kg of various types of pills, tablets, powders,... and many machines and equipment serving production activities such as production lines, presses, blister molds, adhesive tapes... The investigation determined that from 2021 until the time of arrest, the total amount of money the subjects traded in fake drugs was estimated at nearly 200 billion VND.

The Drug Crime Investigation Department coordinated with the Bai Tranh Commune Police, Nhu Xuan District to arrest two subjects illegally transporting drugs, including: Nguyen Van Hung, born in 1991 and Ho Tien Bao, born in 1992, both residing in Thai Hoa Town, Nghe An Province. The seized exhibits included: 6,000 pink pills, 1 car and many related exhibits. Next, the Drug Crime Investigation Department coordinated with professional units to break up Project 425-D, eradicated the entire drug trafficking ring, arrested 7 subjects, seized more than 1,000 pink pills and many related exhibits.

In particular, on May 2, 2025, the Department of Investigation Police on Drug Crimes presided over and coordinated with relevant units to break up a case carrying 425L, destroying the largest ever production and trading line of banned goods (N2O gas) nationwide, while also fighting to clarify the illegal buying, selling and organizing of drug use by related subjects in this line. Up to now, through searches at 3 N2O gas production workshops in Thanh Oai, Thach That, Chuong My districts, Hanoi city, the police force has seized nearly 7.3 tons of finished N2O products, 717 gas cylinders, more than 180 tons of raw materials for production and 3 systems of machinery, production lines, and packaging of N2O gas products. The initial investigation determined that from March 2025 until the time of arrest, in addition to the amount of N2O gas seized, the subjects produced and supplied 65 tons of gas for consumption in many provinces and cities, earning an estimated profit of over 6.5 billion VND. To date, the police force has summoned and worked with 49 related subjects; prosecuted, temporarily detained, and temporarily detained a total of 24 subjects for the acts of manufacturing, trading in prohibited goods, illegally buying and selling narcotics, and organizing illegal use of narcotics.

In recognition of the outstanding achievements of collectives and individuals in the above-mentioned projects and cases, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives, including: Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, Criminal Police Department, Economic Police Department, Drug Crime Investigation Department and a bonus of 100 million VND to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police; The Director of the Provincial Police awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 29 individuals with a total amount of 210 million VND.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Thi, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Major General Tran Phu Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department congratulated, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of collectives and individuals in quickly investigating, clarifying and arresting, and eliminating criminal, economic, and drug rings and gangs....

In the coming time, in the face of the development of the crime situation, especially the crime of fraud and appropriation of property, the crime of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods, the crime and violations in mineral exploitation activities, the crime and drug abuse still pose potential risks of complexity, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the police units in the province to continue to promote the achieved results, strengthen the force and professional measures, do a good job of grasping the security and order situation in the area, promptly advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee to lead all levels, sectors and localities to effectively implement measures to prevent and combat crimes and violations of the law, and prevent sudden and unexpected incidents from occurring.

In particular, the Thanh Hoa Police force needs to organize well the work of preventing and stopping crimes and law violations, especially in the fields of criminal, economic, environmental, crime and drug abuse.
