After finishing work, at nearly 3:00 a.m. on April 30, the reporters lined up for security checks to enter the working area of the Anniversary Ceremony. |
Thousands of news, articles and reports were produced by journalists and reporters on this occasion. All products demonstrate a sense of responsibility towards the profession and towards readers, from the way they approach problems to their diligence in work.
Security checks are tightened. |
On April 29, journalists and reporters had to continuously report from morning to night on many events in the series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; as well as the joyful and excited atmosphere of people from many provinces and cities flocking to Ho Chi Minh City to watch the parade.
After passing through the security gate, reporters were able to access the work area at around 3 a.m. |
On many streets of central Ho Chi Minh City, the presence of the press is almost everywhere.

In particular, on the evening of April 29, many journalists and reporters participated in the special art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day with the theme "Spring of Reunification". All had to overcome difficulties such as traffic jams, road closures, etc. to reach the work site.

There were reporters who, after finishing their work, had to walk more than 1 km through the traffic jam to the Press Center to report on time. Meanwhile, the Commemoration Ceremony took place early the next morning (April 30). However, reporters still actively produced news and articles to ensure they were timely.
International reporters also arrived very early to choose their preferred working position. |
Many reporters present at the Press Center finished work at nearly 3 a.m. so they continued to cover the most important event, the Anniversary Ceremony.
Many reporters were worried about not being able to find a “good” position to work, so they were already present at the press area at the event site at 12:30. They all waited for hours until dawn to work. During the waiting time, some fell asleep because they were so tired.
Reporters continued working before the Celebration. |
Among hundreds of foreign journalists covering the event, Mr. Murayama Yasufumi is a journalist from Kyoto (Japan). Mr. Murayama Yasufumi shared his feelings with Vietnamese reporters about the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Mr. Murayama Yasufumi said: “I have been working in Vietnam for 27 years. The most recent and major event I attended was the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). This event is large-scale and important to Vietnam.

I will convey information about Japan through my articles. I am sure that my Japanese friends will love Vietnam even more.”
Mr. Murayama Yasufumi also said that he clearly felt the spirit and affection of young people towards Vietnam through this important event. Vietnamese reporters were also very open, and the mutual help between Vietnamese reporters was clearly demonstrated.
It can be said that, with the spirit of working day and night, the "press arm" has conveyed the most realistic and vivid images and films about the activities of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the patriotism and national pride of millions of Vietnamese people from all over the country.
