Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Franz Josef Claes, Chairman of GEO Group, highly appreciated the support and companionship of Binh Dinh provincial government in the process of promoting the project, and committed to speeding up the work contents under the group's responsibility.

“We will try our best to bring the technologies that we have accumulated over many years here to contribute to the better development of the province. We will do our best to make the project successful,” the Chairman of GEO Group pledged.

Sharing about the project items, Mr. Homan Seyedin, Marketing and Business Director of Asia region of GEO Group and its subsidiaries emphasized that what the group is preparing to do in Binh Dinh province is "unique in the world at this time".

According to Mr. Homan Seyedin, the Project in Binh Dinh province is not only a place for training human resources but also a place for research, development and application of new technologies.
According to Mr. Homan Seyedin, the project in Binh Dinh province is not only a place to train human resources but also a place to research, develop and apply technologies in the energy industry.

According to Mr. Homan Seyedin, GEO Group currently has 22 training centers in 12 countries around the world; however, there is no center in the world that the company has designed and planned as modernly as the center in Binh Dinh province.

The Marketing and Sales Director of GEO Group in Asia said that, understanding that the General Corporation of Engine and Agricultural Machinery (VEAM) was assigned by the Government to produce propellers in Vietnam, GEO Group has put into the center a place to train engineers and researchers on propeller production technology.

At the same time, during the meeting with GEO Group on June 17, 2025, VEAM also expressed its desire to produce turbines for the group. Mr. Homan Seyedin affirmed that to do this, personnel must be trained at the above center before being allowed to produce.

At the center in Binh Dinh province, GEO Group plans to build two wind power plants, one using the group's technology and the other using a third party's technology for students to learn.

Along with that, the center also has a test tank that recreates and simulates offshore impacts such as waves, storms, etc. for students to experiment with.

In addition, at the center, GEO Group also created a module to train for offshore industries, not just wind turbines - this is a content that, according to the group's representative, "is currently not available in Asia".

GEO Group also built a factory to produce hydrogen and hydrogen products, creating a closed model to both research, further development and technology transfer to Vietnam. One of the hydrogen products that the group is interested in is the production of high-pressure oxygen for medical use.

In addition to its human resource training mission, the center is also a place to test and evaluate products researched by other units related to the renewable energy industry.

“The Group hopes that this model wind turbine will be the first in Binh Dinh. Our goal and desire is a Made in Vietnam branded turbine from Binh Dinh. This is the first type of turbine in the world that can self-propelled from the ground to the installation location, currently no turbine manufacturer can do this,” said Mr. Homan Seyedin.

According to Mr. Homan Seyedin, the special thing introduced is that normally wind turbines are made of steel, but the wind turbines of GEO Group are made of concrete. This turbine will also be the first to be placed in Binh Dinh.

Sharing about the GEO Group project, Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Thuy, General Director of O-DOOR Vietnam Company emphasized that no other group has come to Vietnam to train and transfer all technology like GEO Group.

The working time was only over a month to get the results as today.

According to Ms. Thuy, “Currently, the operation (including maintenance) of the turbines depends on foreign countries, but the company has a supervisory department to check. GEO Group wants to do it for real and will transfer 100% to Vietnam and Vietnamese people will master the technology.”

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said that in addition to signing the MOU, the province will implement the project in the best and fastest way. Up to now, the legal procedures of the project have been basically completed, now there is only one more legal procedure to carry out, which is the bidding to select the investor, it is expected that after July 20, 2025, the investment certificate will be issued.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee committed to creating all conditions for GEO Group to implement the Project in the locality.
