(Dan Tri) - Hanoi rose to the top of the search list on September 2nd, with an increase in room and tour bookings. Travel agencies launched many programs to welcome National Day with unique cultural and culinary experiences.

Number of guests booking rooms and tours for the September 2nd holiday in Hanoi increased

The four-day National Day holiday on September 2 is creating a wave of vibrant domestic tourism . According to the latest data from the travel platform Booking, Hanoi is the most searched destination by Vietnamese people during the National Day holiday (from August 29 to September 3), rising from 7th place to No. 1 compared to the same period last year.

Hanoi's increased appeal was seen across all tourist groups, with the capital leading searches by families (up from 14th), groups of friends (up from 9th), couples (up from 7th) and solo travellers (up from 2nd).

Search data was compiled based on domestic destination searches on the platform by users in Vietnam between May 1 and June 15, with check-in dates between August 29 and September 3.

The National Day holiday on September 2 will be solemnly celebrated in Hanoi with a series of large-scale activities. Notable among them are the preliminary parade rehearsal on August 27 (reservation date August 28), the general rehearsal on August 30 (reservation date August 31) and the official celebration of the parade on September 2.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Tourism, since May, the number of guests booking rooms for the September 2 holiday has increased by about 30-40% compared to the same period in 2024, especially hotels and accommodation facilities in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh districts (old).

According to some travel agencies, the number of customers booking tours on September 2nd is gradually increasing. Mr. Pham Van Bay - Deputy Director of Vietravel Hanoi - said that up to now, the company has recorded many customers interested in and booking tours on the occasion of September 2nd. The unit has prepared 1,500 seats for tours departing on the occasion of September 2nd, currently the number of customers registering for tours has reached nearly 40%.

“Up to now, the number of customers booking tours for the company’s September 2nd holiday in Hanoi has increased by about 20% compared to the same period last year. This year, many customers have proactively planned earlier, especially thanks to the long holiday, favorable weather, and the rising trend of domestic tourism combined with cultural and natural experiences,” said Mr. Bay.

Patriotic tour, exploring heritage sites, culinary delights

Besides the grand events, the September 2nd holiday is an opportunity for visitors to explore the timeless beauty of the capital. From the old quarters steeped in history, the appeal of famous street food, interesting museums to peaceful cafes, all create a Hanoi with diverse experiences for visitors.

Not missing this opportunity, travel agencies have launched many attractive programs to serve tourists when coming to Hanoi on September 2.

Saigontourist launched a 6-day, 5-night September 2nd tour priced at over VND13 million. Tourists will visit Hanoi to watch the National Day parade at Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace relic complex, One Pillar Pagoda, West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, house number 48 Hang Ngang Street...

In addition to Hanoi, the unit also combines taking tourists to explore Ha Long, visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An tourist area, Phat Diem stone church, Tam Dao stone church, Tay Thien tourist area...
