The number of guests booking rooms and tours on the occasion of September 2nd holiday in Hanoi increased.
The 4-day National Day holiday on September 2nd is creating a wave of vibrant domestic tourism . According to the latest data from the travel platform Booking, Hanoi is the most searched destination by Vietnamese people during the National Day holiday (from August 29th to September 3rd), rising from 7th to 1st place compared to the same period last year.
Hanoi's increased appeal was seen across all tourist groups, with the capital leading in searches by family travellers (up from 14th), group travellers (up from 9th), couples (up from 7th) and solo travellers (up from 2nd).
Search data was compiled based on domestic destination searches on the platform by users in Vietnam between May 1 and June 15, with check-in dates ranging from August 29 to September 3.

The National Day holiday on September 2 will be solemnly celebrated in Hanoi with a series of large-scale activities. Among them, the parade rehearsal on August 27 (reservation date August 28), the general rehearsal on August 30 (reservation date August 31) and the parade celebration to celebrate the National Day officially taking place on September 2.
According to information from the Hanoi Department of Tourism, since May, the number of guests booking rooms for the September 2 holiday has increased by about 30-40% compared to the same period in 2024, especially hotels and accommodation facilities in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh districts (old).
According to some travel agencies, the number of customers booking tours on September 2 is gradually increasing. Mr. Pham Van Bay - Deputy Director of Vietravel Hanoi - said that up to now, the company has recorded many customers interested in and booking tours on the occasion of September 2. The unit has prepared 1,500 seats for tours departing on the occasion of September 2, currently the number of customers registering for tours has reached nearly 40%.
“Up to now, the number of customers booking tours for the occasion of September 2 of the company in Hanoi has increased by about 20% compared to the same period last year. This year, many customers proactively planned earlier, especially thanks to the long holiday schedule, favorable weather, and the rising trend of domestic tourism combined with cultural and natural experiences,” said Mr. Bay.
