Binh Thuan proposes building a road connecting to the Dau Giay – Tan Phu expressway.

The Dầu Giây – Tân Phú ( Đồng Nai ) expressway interchange is located more than one kilometer from the border of Đức Linh district. The Bình Thuận Department of Transport has proposed building a connecting road to facilitate travel.

The Department of Transport of Binh Thuan province has advised the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province to request the Ministry of Transport to consider and direct the project management board to add a road connecting Duc Linh district with the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway (Dong Nai).

The first phase of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project, with a total investment of VND 8,300 billion, was approved by the Prime Minister in September 2022. The route has a total length of over 60 km, passing through many localities in Dong Nai province. Currently, the investor, Thang Long Project Management Board, has prepared a feasibility study report and is seeking expert opinions.

Upon on-site inspection, the Binh Thuan Department of Transport found that the Tan Phu intersection is only about one kilometer from the border of Duc Linh district, but there is no connecting road design in place. Therefore, the agency proposed adding a four-lane road, connecting to the existing Ro Mo – Da Kai road (Binh Thuan), similar to the branch connecting to National Highway 20 in Dong Nai province.

According to the Binh Thuan Department of Transport, connecting this section to the expressway will shorten distances and travel times for people, facilitating the transportation of goods and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality, especially the mountainous Duc Linh area bordering Dong Nai and Lam Dong provinces.

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway is one of three component projects of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong route, scheduled to begin construction in 2024. In phase 1, the expressway will have 4 lanes, a maximum speed of 80 km/h, and an emergency stop every 4-5 km. In the completed phase, the project will be upgraded to 4 lanes, with an emergency stopping lane and a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
