The 2023 National Traditional Boat Racing Championship has entered its second day of competition at Bau Trang (in Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan ).
On the morning of June 25, athletes competed in the 500m distance in the 20-man, 10-woman, 20-mixed, 10-man, 20-women and 10-mixed categories. The organizing committee presented awards for each category. Accordingly, as of the second day of competition, the current medal tally is temporarily led by the Ho Chi Minh City rowing team with 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. The Thai Nguyen rowing team is in second place with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals. The Binh Thuan rowing team is temporarily ranked third with 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
This year's tournament has the participation of 288 athletes (including 126 female athletes) from 8 provinces and cities in the country: An Giang, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc and host Binh Thuan. Athletes compete in 18 events for both men and women and mixed for boats with 10 and 20 rowers; there are 3 competition distances: 1,000m, 500m and 200m.
Tomorrow (June 26), some final events and final matches will take place, promising to bring a lot of drama to the audience watching and cheering for the rowing teams across the country.
