Bkav achieved international AV-Test certification

Bkav has officially launched the Bkav Pro 2024 antivirus software with the orientation of expanding to the global market. Bkav Pro 2024 integrates the My Bkav system, while upgrading artificial intelligence (AI), optimizing the ability to catch viruses.

On December 21, Bkav Technology Group announced that the world's leading organization in the field of antivirus software testing AV-Test announced that Vietnam's Bkav Pro software has achieved the international AV-Test certificate. AV-Test's test is designed by experts with many years of experience in the field and uses one of the world's largest virus databases. AV-Test only evaluates the software version being provided to customers, to ensure the software's effectiveness in protecting users from viruses and other threats.

AV-Test's test is currently considered the most difficult in the world. Unlike the outdated testing methods of other organizations, which only test recognition capabilities, AV-Test evaluates both performance and user experience. Performance tests are performed on a variety of environments, both popular and high-end computers, to get accurate results. To evaluate the ability to protect users from viruses, AV-Test used newly discovered virus samples within 24 hours and popular virus samples collected within the last 2 weeks. Bkav Pro achieved a recognition rate of over 99.9% of popular viruses and achieved the maximum score in this test. With the performance test, Bkav Pro achieved a score of 5.5/6, certified to not affect the user's computer usage.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat, General Director of Bkav's Malware Research Center, said that this was the first time he participated in AV-Test, and some evaluations did not achieve the expected results. However, Bkav will continue, aiming to win AV-Test Top Product, a certificate for the best software. With this result, Bkav Pro is the first anti-virus software in Vietnam to receive AV-Test certification.
