Bkav has officially launched its Bkav Pro 2024 antivirus software, aiming to expand into the global market. Bkav Pro 2024 integrates the My Bkav system and upgrades its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, optimizing virus detection.
On December 21st, Bkav Technology Group announced that AV-Test, a leading global organization in antivirus software testing, has certified Bkav Pro, a Vietnamese software, as meeting international AV-Test standards. The AV-Test test is designed by experts with many years of experience in the field and utilizes one of the world's largest virus databases. AV-Test only evaluates the software version currently offered to customers, ensuring its effectiveness in protecting users from viruses and other threats.
AV-Test's testing is currently considered the most rigorous in the world. Unlike the outdated testing methods of other organizations, which only check detection capabilities, AV-Test evaluates both performance and user experience. Performance tests are conducted in diverse environments, including both common and high-end machines, to ensure accurate results. To assess its ability to protect users from viruses, AV-Test uses newly discovered virus samples within the last 24 hours and common virus samples collected within the last two weeks. Bkav Pro achieved a detection rate of over 99.9% for common viruses and received the maximum score in this test. In the performance test, Bkav Pro scored 5.5/6, certified as not affecting the user's computer usage.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat, General Director of Bkav's Malware Research Center, said that participating in AV-Test for the first time, some evaluations did not achieve the expected results. However, Bkav will continue, aiming to win the AV-Test Top Product certification, awarded to the best software. With this result, Bkav Pro is the first Vietnamese antivirus software to achieve AV-Test certification.
