Work pressure at the facility
The commune level is where people directly interact and resolve many issues related to the people, so the workload for administrative, general, and propaganda work is always heavy. In addition to ensuring security and order in the area, grassroots police officers also have to handle many types of reports, statistics, thematic plans, and content serving the "All People Protect National Security" movement.

Based on this reality, the My Son Commune Police began to pay attention to exploring AI tools as a solution to support and improve the efficiency of their work. Initially, it was just small-scale experiments in text synthesis, report layout design, or content editing for propaganda. Through the process of using the tools, the unit realized that with specific guidance documents, the application would be more convenient and consistent. Therefore, the "AI Application Handbook for Commune Police" was created.

The handbook "Applications of AI for Commune Police" is concise, easy to understand, and focuses on common situations at the grassroots level. The handbook guides users on how to utilize AI in document drafting, plan development, report compilation, document research, news editing, and image design for legal education and dissemination, as well as supporting administrative tasks.
Captain Luu Van Dong, Head of My Son Commune Police, said that the unit's goal is to help officers access technology in a practical way, suitable to the requirements of work at the grassroots level. "AI is just a supporting tool to improve the efficiency of work. The most important thing is still the professional mindset, responsibility, and courage of the People's Police officers," Captain Dong said.
When technology becomes part of everyday work.
After a period of implementation, the working methods at My Son Commune Police Station have undergone many changes. Propaganda content is presented more visually; data compilation and report preparation are also faster and more systematic than before.
A spirit of learning new technologies is also evident within the unit. Young officers assist their colleagues in operating AI applications; many proactively seek out additional tools suitable for their professional work.

According to the leaders of My Son Commune People's Committee, the commune police's proactive development of an AI handbook is a model that aligns with current digital transformation requirements. It is noteworthy that this approach stems from practical needs rather than being merely a trend. At the grassroots level, the most important thing is a solution that can be immediately applied to daily work. My Son Commune Police has chosen a very practical approach, both innovating working methods and ensuring professional standards are met.
This change is also more clearly felt by the people during the process of handling administrative procedures. Mr. Tran Van Ha (Ra Tren village) said: "Previously, every time I came to handle paperwork, I had to wait quite a long time because the officials were simultaneously attending to citizens and processing many different types of documents. Now, I see that they work faster and provide more specific instructions. Many procedures are also resolved more efficiently than before."
Despite promoting the application of AI, the My Son Commune Police still places special emphasis on information security. The handbook includes many sections highlighting the need for data control, ensuring information security, and individual responsibility when using AI platforms. Documents related to professional duties, personal information, or data deemed confidential are strictly prohibited from being uploaded to public AI systems. Officers and soldiers are instructed on how to verify content, avoiding complete reliance on results generated by AI.
According to Captain Luu Van Dong, the application of technology in the police force must be accompanied by a sense of security and professional responsibility. If used without control, technology can also create risks. Therefore, the unit always requires officers to use technology for the right purpose and in accordance with regulations.
To make it easier for officers, soldiers, and citizens to access the information, the My Son Commune Police also integrated a QR code leading to the electronic version of the handbook. By simply scanning the code or accessing the online directory, users can easily view and download the document.

Amidst the ongoing push for digital transformation, the approach of the My Son Commune Police demonstrates proactive innovation at the grassroots level. Without the need for large-scale models or state-of-the-art equipment, change begins with the daily demands of their work and the readiness of officers and soldiers to embrace new ideas. A small handbook, yet it opens up a new way of working within the grassroots police environment, where technology is gradually becoming a practical tool to improve the quality of service to the people and meet the demands of the new situation.
