New BMW XM 2026 with breakthrough performance, about 4.95 billion VND?
Recently, BMW has officially launched the mid-life upgraded version of the high-performance SUV XM.

Accordingly, in this "upgrade", the BMW XM 2026 has completely eliminated the standard configuration and focused all its efforts on the most powerful variant. Launched with the ambition to expand the large luxury SUV line, the BMW XM was expected to be the new symbol of the independent M car line, after the legendary M1. But with great expectations comes great pressure. In 2024, just 1,974 XMs were sold in the US, the company’s most important market, down 14.7% from the previous year. That makes the XM BMW’s slowest-selling model in the US.
Therefore, instead of expanding the product portfolio, BMW chose to simplify, keeping only the strongest version, which used to be known as the XM Label, to make the new standard XM 2026 version. The 2026 BMW XM is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor that produces 738 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 282 km/h (when equipped with the M Driver's Package). The car's AC charging system has been upgraded from 7.4 kW to 11 kW, a small but practical improvement for plug-in hybrid users. The 2026 BXM also gets a slight exterior upgrade. The car has a refined nighttime welcome light effect, adding drama when approaching the car.
This high-performance SUV also features a new Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic paint and 23-inch M wheels in Jet Black for a sporty , distinctive look. The interior of the 2026 BMW XM is also no exception. The car has up to three new Merino Individual leather color options, in which the highlight is the Night Blue tone combined with Vintage Coffee, contributing to enhancing the luxurious feeling. The car has high-class backrest pillows in the rear seats. This is a small detail but shows concern for passengers, different from the traditional "driving is above all" philosophy of the M series. During the launch of the XM 2026, BMW also collaborated with legendary British DJ Carl Cox to create a soundtrack from the sound of the V8 engine and the sound of the starting system. “The Soundtrack of Performance” is not just a simple PR music project, but a message affirming the artistic and daring character that BMW wants to associate with the XM – a car that has always been questioned about its “personality”.
According to plan, BMW XM 2026 will be produced at Spartanburg factory in South Carolina, USA from next August and the selling price will be announced closer to the official launch date. The elimination of the standard version and repositioning with the Label configuration, experts predict that the car's new starting price will approach or exceed the threshold of 190,000 USD (4.95 billion VND). This is a price that requires convincing not only with performance, but also with different emotions and experiences.
