Immediately after receiving the information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei to urgently work with local authorities to verify information related to the incident as well as the identities of the victims, and to closely coordinate with Taiwan (China) during the investigation. Preliminary assessments show that this is most likely an accident caused by poisoning. At the same time, the Consular Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) also worked with relevant domestic authorities to verify personal information to promptly notify the victims' families.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei will continue to closely monitor the investigation process of the case and take measures to protect and support the victims' families in carrying out funeral procedures./.
