The Vietnam Road Administration directed road management units to prepare adequate spare materials, arrange machinery, equipment and human resources in key locations that are frequently subject to landslides to proactively overcome and ensure traffic in the fastest time, especially on key national highways in the affected areas.
Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation direct units to strictly implement the patrol and guard regime at key works, locations, and key areas such as: weak bridges and roads, vulnerable to flooding; steep mountain passes, areas prone to flash floods, falling rocks, landslides, railway areas downstream of dikes, irrigation dams, reservoirs, etc. to be ready and proactive in responding promptly when incidents occur, ensuring absolute safety for people and vehicles.
Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation have directed units to concentrate vehicles, materials, equipment and human resources to overcome the consequences of floods and ensure smooth traffic in the fastest time. At the same time, there are plans to stop trains, stretch trains, increase trains, and transfer passengers when floods cause flooding and landslides in sections where trains must stop.
The Vietnam Maritime Administration directs the Maritime and Waterways Port Authorities to keep a close eye on the number of ships, boats, and water transport vehicles anchored in the anchorage areas, river mouths, seaports, waters around islands, and waterways in the affected areas and guide ships and boats to safe anchorage areas; organize counting, closely manage sailing and maintain regular contact with ships and boats operating in the areas affected by the storm. Coordinate with the local Civil Defense Command to take appropriate response measures, resolutely request ships and boats to move to safe shelters or proactively move out of the danger zone.
The Vietnam Maritime Administration and Waterways directs the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center to arrange vehicles in key areas where storm No. 10 is forecast to directly affect, to be ready to coordinate with relevant units and forces to quickly deploy response and search and rescue work when bad situations occur. At the same time, urge inland waterway management and maintenance units to promptly retrieve buoys and signals before floods arrive or when receiving flood discharge notices from local Civil Defense Commands.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has directed airlines and aviation service companies to closely monitor weather developments in the storm-affected areas to adjust or change flight schedules accordingly to ensure absolute safety of flight operations. In addition, it has directed units to strengthen inspections of airports, terminals, communication systems, flight operations and command to promptly detect and handle incidents.
The Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management directed Project Management Boards, investors, construction contractors, and related consulting units to immediately deploy response work to storm No. 10, prepare conditions to promptly overcome construction incidents; coordinate to ensure smooth traffic on routes that are both under construction and in operation.
Vietnam Maritime Electronic Information Company Limited directed the coastal information station system to increase the broadcasting time to announce and warn about the movement direction of storm No. 10; guide and call on ships to move not to enter or exit the danger zone or to safe shelters.
