In addition to the outstanding achievement of the Vietnamese women's team in qualifying for the World Cup, the representative of the Vietnamese women's football club, Ho Chi Minh City, excellently reached the semi-finals of the 2024/25 AFC Women's Champions League, bringing Vietnamese women's football at the club level to 5th place (with 70,393 points) in the Asian women's football club rankings just announced by the AFC.

Australia rose to the top spot (with 97,662 points) in the 2024/25 Asian Women's Club Rankings, with South Korea (75,852 points) in second place in Asia and Japan (74,800 points) in third place. Meanwhile, Wuhan Jiangda's 2024/25 AFC Women's Champions League title win helped Chinese women's football finish fourth with 74,583 points.

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has made a resounding achievement by reaching the semi-finals and being named in the rankings of 41 Asian women's football clubs, while also making an important contribution to helping Vietnamese women's football affirm its position as number 5 on the Asian women's club rankings, thereby having a direct ticket to participate in the AFC Women's Champions League 2025/26.

The Asian Women's Club Football Rankings are based on a combination of club performance (70%, based on results in the 2024/25 AFC Women's Champions League) and national team performance (30%, as of March 2025, based on the FIFA Women's National Team Rankings).
