Despite having moved to LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka still participated in the PGA Championship and continued to demonstrate his knack for this Major tournament.
This year's PGA Championship saw fierce competition for the title, with Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, and Brooks Koepka all vying for the championship. Scottie Scheffler, aiming to reclaim the world number one ranking, played exceptionally well on the final day with six birdies and one bogey. His only disappointment came from a sand trap where he missed an eagle on the 14th hole. Nevertheless, his final round of five under par allowed him to finish tied for second place and reclaim the world number one ranking. Viktor Hovland also finished the tournament with seven under par, matching Scottie Scheffler's record.
Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka recorded 7 birdies and 4 bogeys in this round. In total, after 4 days of competition, he had 18 birdies and 9 bogeys, winning the championship with a score of 9 under par, much to the delight of the fans, who seemed to have forgotten that Brooks Koepka had switched to playing for LIV Golf. With $3.24 million in prize money from the PGA Championship, Brooks Koepka has earned over $7 million in prize money in the past two months, including his victory at the Liv Golf Orlando event in April.
Brooks Koepka also became the 20th golfer in history to reach the milestone of 5 Major titles, with his collection including 3 PGA Championships and 2 US Open championships.
