Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dao Manh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province - emphasized: The program has always received close attention and direction from the Central Steering Committee; active support in terms of funding and human resources from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and many ministries, branches, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province. These efforts have brought about outstanding results in terms of scale, speed of implementation and practical effectiveness.
As of June 23, 2025, Quang Tri has completed all program goals two months ahead of schedule (June 30, 2025 compared to the expected August 30, 2025). 100% of households on the support list have started construction of their houses; more than 80% have completed construction and put them into use. Of these, 2,374 houses have been newly built and repaired for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs; 7,486 temporary and dilapidated houses of poor and near-poor households have been improved - reaching 141.5% of the plan.
Contributing to that success were socialized resources of up to nearly 450 billion VND, accounting for 87% of the total cost of implementing the program. Notably, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) supported 18 billion VND for the program in Quang Tri province - demonstrating the social responsibility and deep attachment of the enterprise to the community, especially to localities with many difficulties and many losses during the war like Quang Tri.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Dang Quang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of all levels, sectors, localities, and the business community and individuals inside and outside the province. He emphasized: "We can be proud that thousands of Quang Tri households now have solid homes and peace of mind before the storm season. But more importantly, the program has built strong trust among the people in the Party and the government, and strongly spread the spirit of humanity throughout society."
The success of the program is not only measured by numbers, but also a symbol of patriotism, compatriotism and aspiration for a better future. This will be an important premise for Quang Tri to continue to effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction programs, build new rural areas, and ensure comprehensive social security.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 8 individuals; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 23 groups and 28 individuals with outstanding achievements in the program. Provincial leaders also awarded the "Golden Heart Gratitude" plaque to sponsors who actively accompanied. BSR representative, comrade Khuong Le Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors - was honored to receive the plaque of gratitude from the leaders of Quang Tri province.
