Top attractive destinations in Asia - Pacific region
From social media to international tourism rankings, Vietnam shows strong appeal in the eyes of global tourists.
Most recently, on June 18, the famous American travel magazine Travel + Leisure announced the list of "T+L Luxury Awards" in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025. In which, Ho Chi Minh City was honored to be in the top 10 leading cities in the region and Phu Quoc was in the top 10 leading islands in the region.

Not only that, according to information from the National Tourism Administration, in the list of "24 most wonderful train journeys in the world" suggested by the international travel magazine Lonely Planet (based in the US), Vietnam's Thong Nhat train topped the list.
According to statistics from the National Tourism Administration, in the first 5 months of the year, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached over 9.2 million, an increase of 21.3% over the same period last year. Of which, Chinese visitors still maintained the number 1 position with 2.36 million arrivals (accounting for 25.7%), followed by South Korea with over 1.9 million arrivals (accounting for 20.7%).
The 10 largest markets for Vietnamese tourism also include Taiwan (China), the US, Japan, Cambodia, India, Australia, and Malaysia. Notably, Russia is also in the top 10 markets with 210,100 visitors to Vietnam, making it the largest market sending tourists to Europe.

Notably, countries that Vietnam unilaterally exempts from visas such as the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Sweden and Norway all continued to record positive growth in the first 5 months of this year.
In addition, the group of countries enjoying short-term visa exemption policies under the tourism stimulus program such as Poland and Switzerland also had positive growth.
With a steady recovery, positive growth in international visitors and many new markets continuing to expand, Vietnam's tourism is showing clear signs of improvement.
Maintaining visa exemption policies, promoting the country's image on digital platforms and constantly increasing the number of international visitors contribute to affirming Vietnam's position as a leading attractive destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
In the coming time, the tourism industry is expected to continue to accelerate, not only in terms of the number of visitors but also in the quality of experiences, making Vietnam the top choice for global tourists.
