Border youth on the border roads

The provincial Border Guard Youth Union launched the programs "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday".

Being proactive and volunteering for the community and for the people in the border communes, the youth of the provincial Border Guard have organized many meaningful activities for the people in the border areas. The Provincial Border Guard Youth Union has coordinated with the district, town, city and other organizations and enterprises to mobilize resources to carry out volunteer activities for the community such as cleaning up the beach areas; launching the "Border Scissors" club model to cut hair for free for children in ethnic minority and remote areas; establishing a car wash club to raise funds, participating in general cleaning in the cemetery; harvesting rice to help the people; visiting and providing free medicine at home for families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs; awarding "Helping children go to school" scholarships to students in difficult circumstances sponsored by the units; implementing the "Adopted children of border stations" program launched by the Border Guard High Command; Coordinate with organizations and individuals in the province to give gifts to children of officers and soldiers working in border areas, islands, and families with difficult circumstances...

On the border line managed by Bat Mot Border Post (Thuong Xuan), there are always potential drug crimes and illegal immigration. Along with that, the weather is very harsh, the risk of flash floods and landslides when the rainy season comes threatens the lives and property of the people. Faced with this reality, the unit's youth union has implemented many measures, determined to complete the task of protecting sovereignty and maintaining security and order in the area. The union members are always pioneers in helping people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty with many practical and effective models and methods. Together with the unit, the programs "Spring Border Guard, Warming the Hearts of the Villagers", "March Border", "Accompanying Women in the Border", "Helping Children Go to School" have been effectively implemented. As of May 2025, the unit is sponsoring 8 children under the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards" and 18 children under the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school".

Mr. Ha Van Sang in Duc village, Bat Mot commune shared: "The young soldiers of Bat Mot Border Post always coordinate closely with the local government to have many practical ways to take care of people's lives, and are a reliable support for the border people."

Implementing the movement "Youth of the Provincial Border Guard join hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the Youth Union members and youth of the Provincial Border Guard have organized many meaningful activities, programs, models and youth works such as: "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", contributing to building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, economic , cultural and social development in the border area.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Youth Union and other units have carried out nearly 200 border and landmark patrols; coordinated with the Lao border protection force to conduct 27 bilateral patrols/600 officers, Youth Union members and youth; and patrolled the coast 134 times/913 officers, Youth Union members and youth. In the fight against all types of crime, Youth Union members have directly participated in successfully fighting many special cases of illegal drug trafficking and transportation and other violations of the law.

With the spirit of youth solidarity, initiative, creativity, and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, union members and young people in the Border Guard have demonstrated their determination to strive, train, promote traditions, contribute their talents, and contribute with the entire force to successfully complete the mission, building a stable and developed border area.
