Children's eyes - where love turns into the moon
With the spirit of spreading love to unfortunate children, nearly 300 million VND has been contributed by BSR to write the journey "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love". A journey without fancy, just quietly spreading with sharing steps, with affectionate handshakes, with small lanterns lighting up the faith in children's eyes.
In the mild autumn weather, when the streets were filled with the colors of the Mid-Autumn Festival, BSR stopped at the Green Dream Early Intervention and Education Center for Children with Disabilities (Nghia Lo Ward, Quang Ngai Province). There, more than 40 children with congenital disabilities, some deaf and mute, some with motor disabilities... welcomed the group with shy but innocent smiles, timid but joyful eyes.
The little hands gently receive the Mid-Autumn gifts, watching the colorful Lion Dance troupe with a mixture of excitement and surprise. When the mooncakes or small toys are handed to them, their eyes shine with pure joy - a simple yet profound happiness.
Each gift, each Mid-Autumn lantern, each gentle word of encouragement… is like a warm embrace of the community, comforting and protecting the young souls struggling with disadvantage and illness. In that moment, the boundary between the giver and the receiver seems to disappear – leaving only love, empathy and faith lit up in small but resilient hearts.
Touched by the kindness, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Director of the Green Dream Center, choked up and shared: “I would like to thank the BSR staff for always accompanying the disabled and disadvantaged children through each Mid-Autumn Festival. It is this sentiment that helps the children feel that they are not forgotten - that out there, there are many kind hearts still following, still loving and protecting them.”
Those words of sharing are like a calm song, engraved deeply in everyone's heart, so that everyone understands that just a little love and sharing can warm even a small heart.
Warm candle in the quiet hospital
BSR's journey of love continues at Quang Ngai Province Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital. In the quiet space where young patients are fighting against diseases day and night, simple gifts from BSR have become warm candles, lighting up joy and hope.
The hall of the Quang Ngai Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital resounded with the weak cries mixed with the innocent laughter of children who were struggling with illness. Most of them were children of ethnic minorities in the highlands - where life was still full of deprivation, the journey to the hospital was already a difficult one. In the middle of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the children should have been happily carrying lanterns and enjoying the feast, but now they had to lie on hospital beds, enduring the pain. Therefore, when the small gifts were handed to them, the children's eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on their parents' lips - because they understood that, even in that short moment, their children had found innocent joy, a flame of hope in the midst of challenging days.
Not only stopping there, BSR also sent warm gifts to Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities, Tam Viet Center for Support and Development of Inclusive Education, Quang Ngai Center for Support and Development of Inclusive Education, Pho Quang Pagoda and many other unfortunate children in the province.
Even though they are just simple gifts, each good wish… contains the shadow of love, hope and sincere sharing. Like small seeds, sowing into the hearts of children the belief that this life still has many good things.
For BSR, sharing has become a humane tradition, a beautiful corporate culture that has been steadily cultivated over the years. Each Mid-Autumn Festival that passes, that journey becomes longer and deeper, so that more children's smiles are lit up, so that the full moon not only shines in the sky, but also shines in the hearts of the less fortunate in life.
