From intellectual playground to pioneering spirit: Agribank breaks through in digital transformation

Shining intelligence – Agribank spreads the spirit of innovation

Contributing to realizing Agribank's Action Plan on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo and Plan No. 77-KH/DU dated February 28, 2025 of the Agribank Party Committee, the contest "Agribankers mastering technology in the digital age" deployed throughout the system has quickly become an attractive intellectual and creative playground for staff and employees.

Officially launched on September 6, 2025, the Contest has gone through exciting stages, leaving a deep impression through the "Start-up" round - where outstanding faces are discovered and selected to enter the "Acceleration" round and the national "Finish" final round.

The contest not only helps Agribank staff improve their knowledge and digital skills but also contributes to improving work efficiency, meeting the requirements of comprehensive digital transformation. This is also a place to inspire the spirit of learning and creativity, creating motivation for each individual to become a "digital nucleus", spreading technological thinking and affirming the mettle of Agribankers in the digital age.

Affirming pioneering spirit

The "Kick-off" round was held throughout the system, from the Head Office to branches nationwide. With the form of online and in-person competition, the round attracted nearly 36,000 officers and employees participating in many different fields of work. The content revolved around knowledge of digital transformation, banking products and services, customer care skills, an overview of artificial intelligence (AI), technology applications in business operations and major orientations of Agribank.

The exam was scientifically designed, both testing basic knowledge and encouraging creative thinking. The exciting atmosphere spread strongly in the units, turning the "Kick-off" round into a true "digital festival", helping each Agribanker to be more confident on the journey to master technology.

Moving on to round 2 – “Accelerate”, the 170 best candidates will receive in-depth training on AI in banking operations before taking an online test. The 30 candidates with the highest scores will be selected for the final round – “Finish”.

In the final round, 30 contestants were divided into 10 teams, drawing topics and designing creative products, presenting to the judges. The competition content expanded to specialized fields such as: AI applications, Big Data in banking operations, customer service digitalization processes, risk management and security in the digital environment. Each team had to create at least one technology application product, demonstrating the ability to think critically, work in groups and propose initiatives.

The award structure includes 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes and 5 Consolation Prizes, recognizing the efforts and creativity of the contestants. The "Acceleration" and "Finish" rounds take place from October 8 to 10, 2025 in Hanoi, promising to be a great festival for the entire Agribank system - where intelligence is gathered, courage is affirmed and the spirit of innovation is ignited.

Not only an internal playground, the contest "Agribanker masters technology in the digital age" has become a journey connecting the intelligence, courage and aspirations of tens of thousands of Agribank staff. Each participant has the opportunity to improve their knowledge, practice their skills and improve their ability to adapt to the digital environment.

From September 30 to October 1, 2025, the Agribank working delegation led by Comrade To Huy Vu - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members directly worked with branches in Nghe An, inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10, visited and encouraged local officials and people. On this occasion, Agribank presented 5 billion VND to support social security work, helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters. As a key state-owned commercial bank, Agribank is not only a pioneer in agricultural and rural economic development but also a pioneer in social responsibility.
